I love my head coach. But let’s not pretend O didn’t make mistakes, which is very public, during his youthful days

Exactly. Gotta love the internet. The only place in the world where someone can make statements about people they've never met as if they are fact all to have 100 other people read it as the word of god. Signing day can't get here soon enough.

I don't think he flips. But guess we'll see.

Well if you are truly an insider of some sort, and it is easy to see how you could be with most of your posts, that is a very ominous comment.

Anyone who follows recruiting understands the fluid nature of the beast, but these latest possible developments are disappointing but even if we lose a few recruits this class is still going to be a beast of a class and will help us win championships going forward!

It's a real threat. Won't even lie. But I do know that the staff has confidence that Burton stays and feel they still are in it for Burch. Both are still in contact with our side.

To this day it still surprises me how many of these come down to the morning of signing. And it's a lot more in quantity than the 'possible flips' we hear about.

But it does... we don't have to understand why, only know that for some reason known only to the invisible sky wizard it happens very often.

Why would the coaching staff be angry with him? We all know that there is no such thing as a commitment of any sort in college football any longer

Depends. There's changing commitment, and then there's changing commitment badly.

If he promised he wasn't going to visit, or told them that UO didn't happen when it did... i.e. lied about it then I would understand the anger. Don't forget, there is a real investment, including effort and time, in recruits. Not to mention if we sent someone else looking elsewhere due to spots based on lies, anger would be expected.

On the flip side, if we tell somebody you're in, you're in... sorry, not in, I would expect that recruit to be equally pissed.

There's a reason our staff was gambling the last 2-3 weeks sending recruits elsewhere so early. To avoid just that. The staff took that risk because they considered it fair to do it early enough to avoid the lie of above. It's inevitable that a recruit or two will make them pay for their kindness.

Maybe, just maybe this once in a lifetime opportunity for the recruit and his family has too much allure to pass by untaken. Just sayin'.

Don't know what's going on, but I never expected to keep all four. Like I said before, if we do, that's great, if we don't, we are already loaded, we still have 3 great ones coming in, and their are some great ones in next year's class.

LSU could redshirt every single one of these guys and still have a top 3 WR unit next year.

Chase and Marshall will likely finish the year with around 2400 yards and 32 TDs (nobody will come close to having a better tandem). McMath as a #3 is better than anybody else in the country's #3 next year. I still stand by Palmer as our Jaylen Waddle clone, and we have guys like Kirklin (speedy senior) and Jenkins (shift youngun), that also provide depth. Hell, even if we lose both those two for some reason (Kirklin a senior, Jenkins, with the class of WRs right behind him), Lee provides depth as a backup. With Moss at TE and beast Gilbert coming in along with Emery as a pass catcher, we won't be hurting for any true freshman getting in after their four redshirt games.

Just from me, an outsider looking in, I think with the Burch situation is a guy who hasn't even picked where he wants to go yet. Seems like the kind of recruitment where he will make his decision the night before or morning of signing. I don't think any of the 4 major players have any idea where he's going unless he already committed to someone not making it public. I keep seeing he's a silent here and I don't believe that information. He could end up here but I don't think he's certain yet.

We sold the same dream to Malachi Dupre and now he’s unemployed

Dupre is employed by the XFL DC Defenders.
Malachi Dupre left a year early.
Whoever gave him his pre-draft assessment was very wrong.
If Dupre knew he wasn't going to go until the 7th round, I'm sure he sticks around another year and improves his game. So, that's on whoever gave him bad pre-draft info.

I think Fromm is terrible. Id say that him leaving can only help...but then I saw that pass the backup QB threw the one play he played in the SECCG.

yikes
