Again. When you plays games in recruiting you usually suck

We sold the same dream to Malachi Dupre and now he’s unemployed

Dude. When we, Coach O and our staff try to flip kids we specifically ask them to not tell the teams they are committed to. All coaches do it!

Ok cool. You might go after everyone bitching on the board then
Posted on 12/15/19 at 11:41 am to Rosenblatt
Lol not “going after” anyone.
Just pointing out that the nature of the flip is secret. Whether the flip is to us or away from us.
Can’t call a kid a liar if he flips away from us but a hero if he flips to us.
It’s part of the recruiting deal.

Not a fan of any of it
I think commitment should mean something.
Crazy, I know

Gilbert, Taylor, Boutte, Jarrett, and Moore is one hell of a receiver haul.

Let him go to a school that doesn't pass well instead of going to LSU where he will be a 1,000 yard receiver. If that's the bad career move he wants, so be it
Kirby must literally be handing him a bag of cash. There’s no logical reason to go there.
Oh stop!!! The kid probably wants to be WR1 and wants to play early, which probably wont happen at LSU. There will never be enough catches for all the skill position players we have coming in year in and year out. Some of you take recruiting too personal and have no understanding that the priorities of kids are rarely the same as yours.

Were rumors about Pickens true?

You can’t possibly think this offense is offering the same thing it offered Malachi... Do you even watch LSU football?
I think he was saying that we sold Malachi early playing time to get him to come to us, similar to what Georgia is trying to do to Burton. Its not always a good thing. Though Malachi should have stayed another year and could have learned a lot more.

Oh well. There are a couple stellar Louisiana WRs in the next class.
Opens a spot for DL and OL depth.

This kid is crazy to go there. Who is going to throw to him? Drew Brees has even commented that we look very similar to what LSU is doing.
Kirby Reminds me of Les Miles in the sense of, “The game is passing him by”! And I don’t think Kirby can figure out how to stay competitive.
SEC East is weak weak and they will always get beat in SECCG. I give Kirby 2-3 more years and he gone!
In 2 years Dan Mullen will kick his arse every year and he will never see Atl.

quote:Agreed. As poster above, it's not that suprising we aren't going to be able to hold on to all of them when they start looking at the depth chart and the class. Not to mention, losing 1 could be a blessing. There's a couple of D players and particularly the OT Crawford that this could be a huge plus for.
As long as we keep 2/3 top WR’s committed, we will be fine. I’d like to keep all 3 but realistically, 2/3 is what will happen.
While I'd love to keep all of them, and they are all top-notch, it's hard to say which one of them I wouldn't mind losing... even though it isn't a choice anyway. I know I'd like Boutte to be in this class at all costs, period. So any others than him, whichever it may be, Burton or not, is where I stand.
Always remember, doesn't matter if it is insider or n00b or 247 reporter... actions always speak louder than words. If we asked him not to visit and he secretly did an unofficial followed by an open OV, the writing was on the wall immediately following the scheduling of that OV.
So... if we asked Burch to not visit USCe and he skipped that and Clemson to boot and visited UGA instead: then his actions are a positive.

I’ll assume you meant other than playing time.
Here he has Chase, Marshall, and possible Jefferson, plus McMath, Gilbert, maybe Thad, add Rak & Boutte.
It’s not that complicated.

Kirby isn’t even as good as Les Miles. He’s the worst coach in the SEC by far.
