Much has happened in the last week that makes me believe something is slightly off with this kid who has all the talent in the world.... Last week Ohio State said they were no longer pursuing him and canceled his trip there for the past weekend. He clearly could have made a major impact there for certain...... have heard rumblings that Nick Saban is going the same route. I know he has had some injury problems but from all reports he is healthy now. Georgia and USC are the other 2 schools he is looking at but I believe he would rather come back to LSU than go to those 2. Are there character issues there???

Apparently he was not happy LSU didn't have NIL money lined up for him
I guess his asking price is too much for these schools
Probably trying to use the portal to go to the highest bidder and if schools don't want to play that game than they will likely tell him to look elsewhere
Plus he wants a guaranteed starting spot wherever he ends up

He wants money. He has his hand out. It's not a secret. Yes, he has character issues. Is this a real question? Dude straight up quit on LSU because he wanted money when he probably would've got it had he stayed. He was a starter. I wouldn't doubt he faked an injury to sit out the season to quit. No excuse to really leave like he did.

Dead meat. Go to USC; maybe Jack in the Box will hit you with NIL.

If he wants money, I’m sure Jimbo or Sark can make it happen

It only takes one selfish player to get that stuff started. I don't know anything specifically but in general we don't want players who think money first. I mean, if the local donut shop wants to have you come over and sign some stuff, and throws you some $$, then why not. But don't let it deter your focus which should be doing your best as a member of the team.

I'm being facetious about the donut shop....but whatever you get, be grateful and don't let it outshine what you should be there to do.

I don't know anything about Ricks....hope he ends up in a good place for him. But if he didn't want to be here, then its probably best he is not.

One other thought: NIL money seems to be on a much smaller scale than NFL $$. Seems like a kid shopping for NIL $$ risks messing up his draft reputation and losing out on a much bigger payday if he's a potential NFL talent.

Personally, I don’t see it as a loss at all. The guy seemed to have wanted to leave since he touched down in BR. 5* or not, I’d prefer not having kids like that around the kids that actually want to be here.
