What is our plan there? I don’t follow recruiting very much but why aren’t there more guys headed our way? What’s the holdup on a pipeline of offensive lineman that want to play with the #1 team in the country. Been this way for years this struggle. What gives?

Signed 5 last year and possible will get 1/2 more this year. Don’t forget juniors like Dare either.

I don’t think this is as big a need as some people are making it out to be. We have a very well rounded class coming in.

We will bring in some fairly highly rated OL in this class before it is over. So be patient.
It is not like our OL sucks and has sucked for years. It hasn't been great but it is not terrible.
We also haven't been the #1 team until this year. I would expect that #1 ranking is going to help us in 2021. There are a lot of really good OL in Texas for 2021 and hopefully we can snare a few.
La. just hasn't produced many top OT for a while now. The last one we produced went to Alabama. Our OL will be fine and I believe in 2021 we will start making it outstanding.

We need 1 or 2 OT’s and we’re getting them this class.

We also are in contention for Rj Adams, a three star(4 on rivals) who just decommited from Penn State. I don't think we are done on the OL.

The OL is a deep as it’s been in a while

Weird narrative you’re trying to push there

Dare Rosenthal? He is a redshirt freshman.

It's not. We have several freshmen and soph olinemen.
Freshmen Olinemen:
Anthony Bradford
Kardell Thomas
Dare Rosenthal Rfr
Thomas Perry
Charles Turner
Cameron Wire Rfr

Soph olinemen:
Chasen Hines
Ed Ingram Rsoph

Several juniors should be returning for next season. Oline will be better next season than they are this season. Oline isn't a need this class, but they will need to sign a large class next season. I think this class they are focusing on quality, not quantity. No projects this class, only college ready olinemen. Next class they can afford to take a couple projects. But the way these kids are wanting to go to LSU, I don't think they will need to sign any projects.

We get Dumervil, and it's looking very very much in our favor, then this OL class is right where it needs to be.

We've balanced the ledger for numbers as far as the OL goes (caveat: If Hines can snap ball and learn C). If we get Crawford, or better put if Crawford can get his academic house in order, we're fine.

Feeling good right now because Traore and Magee played better at the OTs. Comfort level for depth is not great, but still pretty good.

Agree

Get Dumervil signed and the urgent part of the need is met.
A high quality LT.

Crawford getting into the class while needed is the icing on the cake. Imo

Probably get 2 in this class and then they'll take 4-5 in 2021

Yes, Dumervil is an outstanding prospect at left tackle, and the Tigers should land him.

Also, let's not forget his teammate, current commit Marlo Martinez, who projects as a very solid guard at the college level.

Camron Jackson needs to be an OT. We enough stud DL in the class and I think Jackson has to makings to be a great tackle after a year or 2 in the system

I love our class and know we are not done, but we are light on Oline. The goal should be to get 2 or 3 starter level guys every year and we only have 1 true Oline recruit today. Getting Dummervil would be huge! His film is outstanding. We really need a center recruit this year. We have a good one in state with Van Pran, but he wants to go elsewhere. Even though this class is loaded with some studs, it is hard to call it well rounded at this point with 1 Oline and no RB. We ain't done recruiting.

Prepare to downvote but I’m still nnot solid on what ray parker does.

1. He was a 6-4 280 lb tackle in high school.
2. Trimmed down to 6-5 230 TE in spring.
3. Now 6-5 235 OLB.

Those are the only facts we have.
But now for conjecture.

4. Will his body start turning carbs/protein into muscle again? Does he get back up to, and past 280?
5. Will he stay on defense if he gets up to 280?
6. Or. Wait for it, can he add weight like an animal and be a freak ot with moves?

Redshirting him wasn’t just the right move.....it was the only move. And who knows what he will be by 2022.

Was Ray Parker ever really that big 280 lb. 247 rated him as an OT but did he play OT in high school?

The narrative that he doesnt follow recruiting and put 'this is not a negative' in the OP title.

Yeah, he is pushing hard.
