Y’all are setting yourselves up for disappointment. Raymond is notorious for coming in 2nd for OOS prospects. Downvote away but let’s revisit on Signing Day.

It only takes Michigan winning a Natty to loosen boosters’ pockets in Columbus

Patrick Peterson was a pretty good out of state pull.

DL too. Still boggles my mind. Those used to be pretty much certain. DL and DB would be the strengths of the team.

Agree, especially last 5 years. CR has a lot to prove, was a so-so hire.

Ohio State alumni right up there with Texas and Texas A&M. They’re going to be buying up everybody in site- they’re doing it now.

He was actually on the strength staff at LSU PP’s senior year of HS and his freshman year (07-08). I didn’t realize there was some overlap until PP was showing Corey some love way back when, I think when Corey took over for Ron Cooper.

Faheem Delane
Ohio State is a mindboggler. They have one of the most talented rosters year in and year out, but consistently underperform. Every year they start around the top 5, but crash and burn throughout the year. They play in a conference that IMO, is pretty weak outside of Michigan and the occasional Penn State. In 10 years, Big10 has put 10 teams in the CFPs and won it all 2x (2014, 2024). I understand Ohio State puts players in the NFL, but most of those guys were making it to the NFL regardless of where they played.
People really kill me with their idea of Ohio St. Yes I understand the talent, yes I understand them losing to Michigan 3 straight years, but what are people even going on about? They made the national championship game one year and damn near beat UGA to make the national championship game again. They haven't hit the bell, but let's stop acting like Bama, UGA, and Clemson are not the only ones who have made it up there more than once in the past 10 years. Ohio St is a 1-2 loss team every single year. I would kill for that kind of consistency. The only year They haven't won at least 10 games since 2005 was the interim year where Fickell went 6-7. Only once in that nearly 20 year span, when they had a real head coach, did they lose more than 2 games in a season.

Yall, when you're at the top, it's 1-2 plays that sets the difference. It took Kirby 6 years before he won his first national championship. It took him 7 years to win his 2nd conference championship.

Got damnt, I just hope they let us get a few of these elite DBs, like got damn, how many you need OSU?

Kevin Toliver, Eli Ricks, Jacoby Stevens, Jamal Adams, Ed Paris, Saivion Smith, Grant Delpit, and those are just the OOS guys. How in the hell could you say the OOS guys always wanted to come to LSU? He'll, how could you say it about the instate guys? If that were the case, why weren't they coming here the last several years? Because I remember him getting Stingley, Welch, and Ryan before he left, and since then, we haven't gotten shite here.

Yall want to be mad at somebody, be mad at Ed O screwing up the damn place. First Pelini, then getting a first year DC in Jones and not letting him run his defense until Ed himself was fired. Napier did the same damn thing at UF. He hires a first year DC, and after that fails miserably, Raymond is the scapegoat (despite what would have been an elite back to back DB haul). Now Napier just hired some dude to be the "head coach", of the defense on top of his actual defensive coordinator.

As a guy who ragged on Raymond for a couple years, I realized that it isn't his fault that he had 2 garbage HCs who made poor DC hires that didn't mesh.
