I would put A. Jennings or Brandon Harris up against Nick Marshall at this point.

Another example of shiny new toy guy.

Seriously, Harris has never taken a college snap.

I'd take Marshall right now and if LSU has to rely on a true freshman QB next year, then they have problems.

I would take marshall over either one. Marshall is a baller. great deep thrower, tough kid and outstanding runner. Just watch, next year Miles will try to make Jennings into a runner like he did with Jefferson adn he will be a middle of the road runner and his passing will suffer.

those aren't the ones that he's going to be on the field with most of the time....

Dural
Diarse
Leslie
Peterson
Smith

Stay away from the Shiny new toy syndrome.

I agree with this, Dural has shown flashes, and the board wet it's collective panties when Smith, Diarse, Leslie, and Peterson committed.

Ryno. Jefferson was possibly the worst running QB I have ever seen.

AJ Is much better.

Dural is going to be very good. not Landry good but very good. I think our TE position has to become more of a weapon with Smith next year.

D'haquille Williams and Sammie Coates could give us some great down-the-field threats next year, if we are able to hold on to his commitment (I've heard he's not as solid as some like to admit). Throw in RiCardo Louis, if he can just catch the ball, Quan Bray, and Tony Stevens, and we have some real threats out wide.

Which is how you should feel. He's not very solid, at all. That's per someone who would know.

Look at the date on both quotes. I've been scared of this for some time now.

There was doom and gloom for a while on here about Quille but that's ONLY because of his safety playing in BR due to his personal circumstances. No one ever doubted that he wanted to play here. It's just a matter of if it would have been a safe or smart move.
Of course, I don't think you'll find some to disagree. And he does like Auburn, but I have always heard that he grew up wanting to play for LSU. At this point, is he a take? I remember talk over here that LSU fans would rather have the incoming freshmen versus a one-and-done player.

Agree, differing opinions (when presented politely) are not what needs to stop on this board.

I think Quille rather play in Cameron's offense, than Malzahn's....Its just a simple choice for a one-done guy.

I agree, but the only unknown is will Jennings even be throwing it that much next year. I don't think they will pass nearly as much next year.

Wow. Tards gonna tard.

Marshall is hit or miss on the deep balls -- some look beautiful (LSU game), others way off. AU fans tell me he struggles quite a bit on intermediate stuff.

Cam Cameron is on record as saying AJ can make all the throws, just like Mett. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Lastly, anyone who compares Jennings to Jefferson at this point needs to be publicly flogged. JJ lacked intangibles, leadership, and a consistent arm. Not to mention he was a pretty poor option QB on top of it all.

How is the offense setting up for next year?

Zach Mettenberger, Jeremy Hill, Jarvis Laundry, O'dell Beckham, and Alfred Blue will all be playing on Sundays, correct?

I agree, but the guy has to gamble, and history is all he has to go on. Don't put Jennings in the starting role yet, although he leads now...
