This quote came from a Canes fan?
So he's proposing a complete overhaul of the program?

Cant win em all.... Noone could have helped RP. However, BB is nowhere near RP in comparison. Name some of the legal woes that BB has had please. I think all of this other crap is, uh, crap.

I think Les Miles should be the judge of that.

I know a lot of people don't "want" Brown because of the off the field situation with his mentor. Can someone give me a little more background info on this?

I'll take care of that later, but actually, I'm trying to quickly find info before I do that. I already follow recruiting probably more closely than I should, but not as much as some of the tools on here, so for that, I apologize.
maybe someone needs to stop visiting the Recruiting Board so much? for frick's sake, I posted the question in the official Bryce Brown thread.

Easy Tonto, lots of folks on here have short tempers because they spend toooooooo much time at the keyboard.
From what little I have gathered of this situation, most of the "issues" seem to emanate from his coach and his "mentor". Coach is apparently a real a-hole and mentor is apparently a thug.
None of the BB comments I've read so far suggest he is the head case that is potrayed by some. Sure he's got an ego, but I'd trust Miles to judge his character after spending some face-to-face time with him, not some looney reading between the lines on a computer screen.
I think it is especially ignorant to compare BB to RP. Actually, BB seems more like Terrelle Pryor than RP with respect to the recruitment process. JMHO FWIW.....

So any truth to the rumor Brian Butler will be intereviewed on the Buddy Songy show tomorrow?

Get over yourselves about the "mentor" (agent). After Brown signs with a team, the mentor is no longer involved.

I don't really care if this kid comes are not and at first I just thought this whole thing was a joke and that he would sign with Miami in the end. Now I think:
LSU: 40%
UT: 40%
Some other place: 20%
LSU: 40%
UT: 40%
Some other place: 20%

I'd say it's between UT and LSU at this point to.
i'm not a expert, and don't claim to be.
just a guess.
Hope Miles can work some magic...

Why are you guys suddenly writing off Oregon? From everything I've read, they seem to be the leaders right now. Did I miss something?

While I wouldn't write them off, there are imo a couple of things working against them.
o His friend who goes there, Chris Harper, is considering transferring. I don't think it's due to a real neg against Oregon, but more a case of homesickness and a lack of opportunity to play QB.
o While there is a successor in waiting, Bellotti's future is up in the air. He may or not step down before the start of the season. If he doesn't he certainly will within a year or two.
Neither one is really earth shattering, but they have to be pushing the stock down.

A new torrent of stuff, all free and just for you...
Blog exclusive: UM no longer a player in Bryce Brown soap opera: The Kansas running back who is the nation's No. 1 prep football recruit has eliminated the University of Miami from contention barring a dramatic change of mind, a source familiar with the decision process told us this (Thursday) morning. The source, who is close to the family, said Oregon and now hometown Kansas State look like the finalists, although Brown (pictured) will visit LSU in a few days prior to announcing his decision. A UM source confirmed what I'd heard, saying, "We're out of it." Miami had grown tired of waiting on Brown's decision but had not, contrary to reports, rescinded its offer. Brown is a sizable loss to what looks otherwise like an excellent recruiting class, although the loss is mitigated by UM having recruited three highly recruited backs earlier this month.
