Great. But they're all perpetual free agents so no guarantee they stay.

Observation-

LSU this year, and even during Kelly's time, didn't lose much to the portal.

I can only think of two guys that we wanted to keep-
Lance Heard, and he was behind 2 guys that were entrenched starters in Campbell and Jones. He didn't want to wait until they declared for the draft.

And then, CJ Daniels. And he was more "nice", than great. We prefer WRs who could be elite, and he's not that.

The other guys, including this year-
offensive linemen from one of the worst O Lines we've ever seen here.
WRs from a group who never emerged.
A RB who regressed horribly. Last year, we lost a corner who came in touted, but couldn't play in the SEC (Duce Chestnut). A safety with zero instincts (Sage Ryan).

LSU tends to be somewhere you stick, if you can see the field.

And how many of the 36 will be back in the portal next year?

I think coaching changes play a part in departures , which we won’t have next year at least with head coach. but DC & OC could leave. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as this year

A fair number will leave, but most of the guys w/ multiple years available will stay, IF they're still wanted. If you bring in nothing but 1 year guys, they'll all be gone after 1 year and you'll be largely rebuilding the roster every year. If you bring in guys w/ multiple years of eligibility available, it's true some will leave but probably more will stay.

He’s in for a rude awakening. Everyone that’s got the cheddar is gonna offer “tamper” these kids and unless everyone gets a significant raise then teams are gonna drive up the poaching fee for every player. The 35 mil roster now just became a 45-50mil roster. Plus BK eternity cash. Look how Cig won. He went after high character older kids cause they are more mature and most of them probably aren’t taking classes. Lane is cooking just the wrong recipe

Everyone is year to year these days. Hardly matters how many years they have left.

it’s very hard to be here 2 years when you have 1 year left.

and going and signing 50 guys every year isn’t easy or cheap. This level of turnover isn’t the norm
