Sure Jan
We’re not talking about an all American or 1st round pick here
So in context of a program like lsu who signed the No 1 class with this supposed elite recruiting and hitting coach — the evaluation and development of that class has been disappointing
I realize most of yall get on Td to suck each other off but this is reality. Schlosnagel/Cain, Vitello etc have done a better job so far. Jay has won when he’s been able to pay or inherit turnkey stars in college. That’s a fact.

The more you post the more you continue to move the goalposts. First it was the entire class was overrated. Then when someone pointed out pitchers improved you say well Jay doesn’t work with the pitchers. Now it’s Jones improved but not as much as you think he should have. It’s really laughable.

He probably made a promise to Neal … twice (didn’t he start the last 2 years?). However, if after 2 years Neal hasn’t been able to solidify his position as a starter, he deserves to be told that he’s going to have to complete for the position next year. Apparently he didn’t agree so he bolted for the portal.

Naw naw G, zero contradictions
And we haven’t even talked about Defense which has very clearly declined under Jay. His shortstops have basically led the conference in errors since he’s been here. Quite remarkably bad

There were pitches Jones were taking for balls this year that he would most definitely have swung at last year. That’s progression
A .300 hitter with 70 at bats again non-conference pitching and a .300 hitter with 140 at bats against SEC pitching is most definitely progression

I keep posting this but many still refuse to accept the reality that Jay values offense over defense by a wide margin. He’ll play an average/below average defense player that’s a good hitter.

What was lsu’s fielding percentage this year? Did you think it was awful?

2 SS who actually improved late in the season when it mattered most.
What about Tommy White's improvement on defense? Just ignore that right?
Jared Jones was very solid defensively. I doubt anyone expected him to be that good.
You are negative.

Please don’t put these two in the same sentence.

Bottom half of the league in team hitting and fielding
