Exactly…. And this happens every single year. Last year it was Howard and Wiggins. Emery Jones wasn’t evaluated properly. Campbell and Perkins were just too good to drop and they both probably dropped some once they committed. We had (5) 5* players last year and I really don’t care where these rankings have them.

This year (3) 5*s were dropped. Jalen Brown and Jaxon Howard were at 5* status until committing and now Shelton Sampson. This year I could make a case for Jalen Brown, Shelton Sampson, Jaxon Howard, Kylin Jackson, Caleb Jackson, Deshawn Womack and Daylen Austin all having 5* status. We could also make the case for Zalance Heard when he commits. That’s (8) legitimate 5* recruits. Some could drop and be reevaluated but they would all be right near 5* status. We could have more commit soon. These national recruiting clowns have always devalued Louisiana prospects and for some reason LSU commits.

Had some of these guys gone to Miami, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Ohio State or one of those schools, they would have either kept their ranking or likely moved up. I get it, it’s to sell shite and garner interest BUT when a legitimate 5* routinely drops in ranking every time he commits to your school, it does have an impact on the program and that player. It’s just not right or justified. People should notice and should be loud about it.

The kids should start clamoring about on social media also. If there is justification for it, fine, I’m good with that. But to simply drop them because they commit and now won’t be as interesting to other metro areas to increase your bottom line. No that’s not right to the kids who you’re supposed to be doing this for and claim to be looking out for.

Not digging into that anymore than what I’ve already said, because you Catholic people are too sensitive, and it will get twisted into me not liking the kid.

It's pretty amazing that this happened not only to Sampson but for the other five star wide out as well....days after commitment both of these long since rated five star kids get dropped to four star players. I'm not calling conspiracy, I realize that when commitments are made a lot of new adjustments get made to the 247 algorithm and this happens to guys. But for it to happen to both of them? After commitments to the same team??? It's just a bunch of B.S.

Yes. The whole point of this thread was an accusation that 247 drops kids when they commit to lsu. That hasn't happened. The fact that 247 has had him as a 4* all along doesn't prove your point. Of course, though, you're still trying to say there's bias. How do you guys make it through daily life?


Btw - 3 of the 4 outlets have him as a 4*. The persecution complex is embarrassing.
