Noticed 24 7 Sports has dropped Sampson down to a 4 *

Apologize if this has already been mentioned. But I don't understand why 75% of the time LSU gets a 5* 24/7 can't wait to knock them down to a 4*. I just don't get it. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't our top 3 picks all 5*s at some point during their recruiting?

I don’t think it’s unfair. He was a little over ranked. He is still a firm top 100 kid. That is big time

He’s a 5 star talent and when he’s drafted in the 1st round one day it will cement him as one of the Top 32 players in this class.

I totally agree with everything you are saying, and we always get fricked by this stuff, but today’s bullcrap is because of Rivals, not 247. He was dropped to a 4 in the composite, because of his updated rivals ranking. Although 247 has been horrible the past 2 years really.

Are we really fricked? Do they hand out trophy's and rings for the number 1 recruiting class? If we sign the top 25 players in the country and then recruiting sites drop all 25 players to 4 stars do we really lose anything?

It is becoming predictable. It is laughable. Heard will be dropped to a 4 star after he commits. Are any of our players ranked as 5 stars on their website?

That isn't true. Perception is reality in recruiting and when guys who commit to some schools get bumps to the star rankings while others get downgraded that matters in the NIL world.
If a kids knows that if I commit to school A, I may get that 5th star which could mean more $$.
So while not a huge deal...its is A deal.

I think they are trolling LSU fans at this point. This one was ridiculous.
I think the media in general probably has caught on to the fact that LSU fans love to bitch and think the world is out to get them, maybe more so than any other fanbase. So if they are hunting for clicks, trolling LSU fans is an easy way to do it.
