Cal finally learned to recruit guys who dog smart Asian chicks. I was up there a couple of years ago and that's about all I saw.

Collegespun article

This guy could be a hack and posting what he reads here but he literally is voicing a lot of our opinions regarding ND and Ben Simmons.

Not sure about the sight but strong Twitter links.

After spending time seeing who CJJ goes after and who all we already have, while I would be glad to have Mr. Dickerson on board, I dont think he is the difference between a Final Four and a Sweet 16 caliber team. He is not that good, you can show me any site or analyst but he would not start here and would be a minor contributor in year 1. Like most people and SoS can stand by this they see the rankings and not the player, he is not a very versatile player.

Save the scholly and use it on another transfer and sit or graduate type player. CJJ has done very well with transfers and sorry I will take the beating he is not that good and would struggle to find PT here in his first year.

Okay, so he won't be a starter in year one, so we should pass on him for a guy who won't be available for a year? Do me a favor and point out the number of Juco players and grad transfers that have his talent.

Odo? Gray? What am I missing here?

Moron talk, dude you do know that basketball unlike any other sport is a young mans game, and fresman make huge impacts and 1 player (like Noah) could be the difference in us making the final 4 right? Even if he doesnt start it would be nice to have a 2nd 5 unit coming off the bench like Kentucky had this year which is why they won 38 straight games. Noah won 3 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS with Ben Simmons at Montverde, and they played the toughest competition there along the way. So to say he isnt very versatile etc is foolish as frick, the kid just needs to rebound, be a rim protecter and finish underneath, we have the guys to do everything else!!!!

Also it will help with depth for the 2016-17 season, which I am just assuming he does not expect to be a one and done.

Also fun fact for ya: Montverde lost only one game over the last two seasons. Noah missed that game due to injury

I agree with you that he may not be the singular difference between a sweet 16 and a final four, but I do think he is a talent.

I do not think he would start if Victor is available, but he would bring a lot more skill than some of the other players we have on our bench.

THIS IS NOT THE YEAR TO "SAVE SCHOLARSHIPS".

We will likely have 3-6 scholarships available next year due to graduation, transfers, and NBA so why save it? If Coach thinks Noah can help the team, you go out and get him. Personally I think he could help the team. He may not be a 15/10 kind of guy but I could see a 7/6 guy who helps us win some important games, especially when foul trouble hits the post.

First of all, you people do realize Noah Dickerson was only at MVA for his senior year right? He did not win 3 National Championships... Only 1.

Second, he's a 6'8 center who while he has game is only blowing up right now because of the slim pickings. He struggled with consistency quite a bit.

Third, LSU has remained steadfast that they aren't really recruiting 2015 anymore but I do believe they'll at least put the phone call in. Don't be shocked if they don't really press the issue.

Lastly, take a look at current roster and recall the thought process last year about certain players who you were down on. Quite often, the light turns on in the off-season a year or two in. Just ask Frank Kaminsky.

I am still very excited about the roster we have, and if Coach Jones doesn't think Noah could make a difference next year and beyond, that's fine, but what is the point of saving a scholarship? I just don't see the reason to do it. This is the year. Anyone who could help our team whether it be at practice or on the court should be courted.

Nonsense, he's blowing up right now because he's available again. He has been a top 100 player for the entire recruiting cycle as far as I can tell. He didn't just get a bump a week ago when he talked about asking for a release.

Nobody expects him to be on the level of Simmons. In fact, it would be nice to get a good player who will stick for a few years. There are program players, then there are talented program players. He looks like a talented program player, and those are very valuable to building a consistent winner.

This is the bottom line. If we pass just to save a scholly, CJJ better bring in one hell of a class next year.
