Pellerin isnt an SEC level talent. We shouldnt take a QB just to take one. Take 2 good ones in 2016.

There's a 13 pg thread on the SECrb for starters. 247 changed his tag to ATH, and he's on record saying the main reason UT leads for him is because Butch Jones has promised him he's their guy at QB. OSU and Meyer could sell the shite out of him playing QB, but just took another QB anyway, and he immediately dropped them out of his top 5. It's not hard to see what's going on.

What's the word on Feleipe Franks (2016)? Shea has him pegged for LSU and apparently he's being made a priority. 6'5 205 Dual Threat sounds appealing

I haven't seen Pellerin play, I just remember a long time ago, people seemed confident he would be an LSU caliber guy. If he's not SEC level, then I agree it's not worth taking him.

I don't know much about Pellerin's recruitment, but it seems like most people are split with him. Some feel like he's a take. LSU will be in contact with him throughout the process no doubt though. Just not sure they'll ever act on it.

Interesting, then what I said might be valid in that they might act on it, but by then he's already made up his mind.
Out of curiosity, I checked to see what the situation with Zack Oliver is at Northwestern. Siemian is the returning senior and many expect Alviti to pass Oliver up on the depth chart and eventually the starting role in 2015. There were a few people who preferred Oliver over Rivers, but it looks like neither will make much of an impact. Good for him for getting a free Northwestern degree. Maybe he'll transfer to a smaller school as a 5th year senior just to get in a year of playing time.

If W/M QB John Randall Belton has the year most people think he will, he's gonna get a hard look. From what I understand, he's fully recovered from his injury and is looking outstanding. He certainly has the tools. Got some YouTube videos up for anyone interested.

Oh....okay, I get it. By 'drastic' you mean, we will only have three scholarship quarterbacks in 2015? Because that's pretty drastic when it comes to depth....Especially when it comes to injuries.
If you have only two quarterbacks.....even three; that's drastic.
Not that I am saying it's an axiom that coaches go by, but five scholarship quarterbacks is a good number to go by.
It's not a good idea to have to insert a frosh that has zero hours under the Offensive Coord's tutelage.
One per year is a good idea.

I don't think that's true anymore.
Perrilloux signed w the tigers with Flynn and Russell. You never know when an all star is going pro. There are countless examples of blue chips coming to a qb power house.
If what you say were to come true(Harris starting) then he would possibly leave by his junior year anyway.

In hind sight we should have taken dak ptescott. Just because they aren't a top rated qb doesn't mean they won't perform. Just because they are a top rated qb, doesn't mean they will accomplish shite. We will take one this cycle.
