Majority of the deals are not at the level you think. Apparently smartphone app called Match Point is the main player in connecting players and businesses/brands right now. One example deal was $1,000 per month. Another was an event where players get $500 for showing up. Wild Wild West. Need to get our game up to snuff with A&M and others.

They're lying to you or not actually "in the know."

The big NIL deals for football and major recruits are not little bullshite deals. MatchPoint handle little bullshite deals for athletes nobody knows such as gymnastics and tennis.

Being on a local add for $25k isn’t going to compete with $125k a year to 5 star deals like other schools are doing unfortunately. And I don’t blame any business for not shelling out $125k a year for an unproven kid

Do you know who one of the owners of Walk Ons is? Try going back to the OPs post and you may find him listed.

I’m all for spending to get these kids on campus, but NILSU needs to do a better job of a pay for play system or figuring out ways to pay student athletes to show up to events and paying them this way.

I'm really just not understanding how A&M is pulling it off. I understand the deep pockets, but I don't understand how the pockets are emptying without anything in return. You'd have to be an idiot just to hand over a bunch of money to a teenager simply to wear your team's uniform for maybe 1 year. NIL was meant for kids to get paid for companies using their name, image, and likeness...which would be mutually beneficial. At this point, it is nothing like that. Not my money, though.
Well let's hope the money makes - and keeps - the situation FUBAR over there.

Yeah that shite was retarded. Money should’ve been allocated towards Jacoby not Brennan.

I read the OP, how would I get one of the owners out of coaches, Woodward and leaders?

One interesting example was say you got the baseball players to come valet cars for you at an event. $500 per player.

If this is where we are on NIL, we’re truly boned.

Some baseball players may do it because they’re good kids and they love LSU, but $500 is amateur hour.

We need large, structured NIL deals of pooled money available. If the plan is to have football players doing fifty $1000 gigs, then they are insane. Who is going to keep up with all that?

Cause a 3rd string freshman Safety is worth more than a 6 year QB who is gonna actually play?

Lol

Brennan doesn't even need the cash. Hope he passed it to others.

Jay Johnson did say that every player in the Top 100 is asking him about their potential for NIL at LSU. As we all know. It’s part of the game now.

What about Matt Saurage and Community or CC’s? I feel like everyone brings up Graves and Gordon, but I never hear about Matt or his big time real estate brother, Hank. And I know Community is pretty invested in LSU

they set up fake charities for big business and big money people to donate to , so they can give NIL deals and write that money off on their taxes at the same time.

The “charity” hires the athletes to promote the “charity”. It’s brilliant.

so what i hear is its legal for coaches in texas to tell recruits "hey go talk to this business" and in Louisiana the school/coaches can have nothing to do with the NIL
