New Orleans Native - Casey Cain (Texas WR) Enters Portal

Buried on that stacked depth chart. Had 8 catches for 201 last season as a freshman. 4.4 speed but not experienced. May be a guy to add if we think we are gonna lose a young guy to the portal. Probably more a ULL/Tulane guy.

Meh there are better receivers out there in the portal by a long shot
If we're taking Zavion Thomas we would need to land a big splash for another WR in the portal

Idk why we haven’t offered Will Sheppard. The guy is a big body athletic WR from Mandeville and was 2nd team All SEC at Vandy

If we haven’t offered Sheppard at this point then he’s gone. Either he or us weren’t interested from the start.

We can play the waiting game to see who else goes in portal. Really hasn't been a huge fish WR yet to hit the portal. Sheppard was good but we got a lot of good talent here at WR. I bet they're waiting for a true difference maker if it comes there.
Zavion Thomas can be a nice gadget player a bit at receiver and play slot some...also he solves the return issues we've had which is almsot bigger for that land.

Only need one vet WR and that’s going to be Thomas. You can’t block the young guys. Plus, Lacy will be back probably.

The insiders are saying he has not been offered but that he was contacted. Seems like LSU is in a holding pattern. Also rumor that he wants in.

He's actually pretty good. Should've played more but Sark rarely ever rotates receivers. If you have a spot, you could do a lot worse as far as depth.

I love his size and also his track background. I can't speak on his hands and route running but feel confident he'd get those coached into him if he came here.

Heard he was turning heads in camp. However the couple UT games I went to last year he had a couple crucial drops. (Bad ones too).
He has talent and was raw coming out of HS imo.

Better receivers in the quad. Not really, just thought it was an appropriate Time to use “the quad”.
