if the staff feels Hampton and Parker are questional due to MLB (former) and Academics (latter) on signing day and feels good about eventually landing them, then we should on hold two spots open and just sign 23 on signing day. Then we can sign them at a latter date when their situations are settled. If they don't work out we can use those two schollies for transfers or back counters from the 2020 class. But no way should we blindly sign them on Feb 6 signing day. Would suck doing it that way for our recruiting class ranking however but in reality that isn't important.

So if we sit at 19.. who are the 4 to get to 23, if you are Parker and Hampton are holdouts.

With Bama just about done, can LSU push for immediate commitments from its remaining targets, especially if they were down to Bama and the Tigers? I'm specifically referencing the Amite kids and Chris Williams but there may be others. Obviously we may have some silent commits already.

Another name that should be on the list is Jay Ward. If we miss on a few he is a take. Like him more than Williams at DB

Bama is not done. Even though they have 28 commentments their board is still very fluid! Several may move out and several may move in

Wouldn’t it be some shite if Saban made Banks and that other DE from Lauderdale to committ on National TV in the hat ceremony just to make Bama look good then not have room for them and drop them. Wouldn’t put this stunt pass Saban. A new low for him.

Banks and Steele (Gators cb from Cali) both picked their hat yesterday, but 247 and espn both show they already signed. Recall hearing some players would sign in private and announce publicly at all American game. It looks like they have 4 more available to sign.
LSU has 6 open spots to sign w 2 commitments and a lot of big time recruits on the board.

I think one of Hampton/Parker doesn't sign.

1 of Hampton/Parker
Lee
Sopsher-think Bama chooses someone else and we just get him
Sopsher #2-if he's 20 hold the ship
One other DL, likely Young or Fuller
Williams
Pickens or another DL or hold the ship

The reason for the Williams buzz is because Bama insiders(Watts specifically) already are saying he won't be in their class and many of them are pretty much saying LSU is the choice, though visits may be taken. Those guys know what they're talking about especially regarding a current commitment.

It’s not his or LSU’s choice to make.

Absolutely! Trust the consensus opinion of coaches across the board over so called analysts and weekend keyboard warriors from the idiot peanut gallery.

It's all the same, though...247's composite top-10 is made up of the most highly sought after recruits in the cycle. There are only minor discrepancies in this stuff, as with the different sites and their rankings.
