Yup and he’s in the running for the Heisman.

St Martin's lost to the vaunted Pope John Paul II Jaguars last night. 28-21.
I played for a team (36 players and 7 of us played both ways) that held Odell Beckham to 60ish yards his senior year. Most of those came from the wild cat position because we shut him down as a receiver. He went on to have a decent career after that

Sheppards film is way more impressive. That’s my only point.
That’s not true at all.

It is considering the competition.
I’m not going through this again lol.

On one page you agree Berry is better than Sheppard and on the next you’re saying Sheppard is better. Make up your damn mind.

Goodness. I don’t think Sheppard is better than Berry. I just think his film is more impressive considering the competition., and that he deserves an offer.
Quit getting so mad lol.

Bahahaha I never thought Sheppard was better than Berry though. I do think, however, it’s possible that it can be the case.
If I had to pick one right now, it’s Berry.

You like it. Don’t lie.

Lmfao you asked what makes Berry better, I told you in explicit and largely objective terms, and you just keep saying you “don’t believe in” star ratings. Cool dude, I didn’t mention star ratings.
You know what’s hard to scout at a HS level? Soft skills like “patience” and “vision”. You act like you’re watching all-22 of these HS games. You’re not. Nobody is. Which is why verified athletic testing is the most important criterion. Berry obliterates Sheppard in all marks. You say that it doesn’t make sense to you for the elite athlete to be rated ahead of the below average (from a sec perspective) athlete? Good thing you’re not a scout.
So what you’re saying is that berry, in addition to being far better today, has even more room to improve than Sheppard?

I played in that district Berry is in. There are no try outs. Anybody who goes out there plays because it's the only way to field a team. There is barely a weight lifting or conditioning program, and the coaching is worse than recreational football at these schools.

My favorite thing is when people say stupid anecdotal nonsense like this and think it means anything in terms of proving their point.
So if I can name a guy who ran 11.7 and *didnt* turn out to be a star RB at the college level, then I’m right again?
Like how do you possibly think that proves anything? Okay, Ashton jeanty ran an 11.7… does that mean we should try to find all the 11.7 guys and recruit them over the Harlem berrys and Caden durhams? No? That’s not what you were saying?
Okay then what *was* your point? That it’s possible for a guy with a slow HS 100m dash to be a star college RB? Okay cool, there’s literally not a single person in this thread who said it was *impossible* for a kid with a slow 100m time to become a great RB. The question is how likely it is. And it’s way more likely that a 10.5 guy will do it than an 11.5 guy.
I swear to god you see Justin Jefferson have a killer career and think that means we should recruit strictly 2* lmfao
