Relax... There is a loooong way to go before NSD. The offer list will grow and so will the amount of useless threads!

Probably because our best player/players have already signed with us. Last year was way more exciting with the players we had in state too.

June and July is usually when it starts to get fun with camps and what not...plus next weekend should have a lot news coming out with the picnic or whatever it is.

This la class is different, more depth but less top teir players. Though there are quite a few that potentially blow up their senior year.

We will still have three 5 stars and finish in the top 10

One, not as much top in state talent as it was last year. You had every guy and his mama with "inside info".Outside of Tyron and Guice (also what we are trying to do with Tillery), their are no more high profile Louisiana recruits we are still trying to get. Last year this time, Harris had just emerged. We still had Quinn, Dupre, Noil, Hootie, Robinson, Fournette, Willis, Godchaux, and Young to fight in state for.

Two, not a lot of big name out of state recruits with us like one or two for them. Outside of maybe Lodge, who else has us top two? Gibson was slightly interested for a bit, but four more schools are higher on his mind. This time last year, we were tops for Garrett, D'haquille, Blacknall (well he wasn't as big of a name as the others, but I'll put him here), Clark, and Brown.

We have none of that this year.

Contributing factors are
1. No bama bagmen have been spotted
2. No one latches onto sunshine pumping recruiting articles anymore
3. I think the buildup jumped the shark last february

I think this is the biggest factor.

...that's per the recruiting services.

Go back and look at the rankings of the nine guys who just got drafted. Some were very high - OBJ and Landry - but some were not - Lamin Barrow and Alfred Blue.

I'm sure we have some future NFL stars in this LA class who the services have not identified.

And some of us have throttled way back on following recruiting. Collins along with 5 for 5 has soured me on the whole process. I'll check in occasionally and read up about new commits but following every 4 and 5 star interested in LSU isn't gonna happen.

I've posted about the same amount in comparison to last year. I've made threads about Tavarus McFadden, Daylon Mack, Kevin Toliver, Tyron Johnson, Donte Jackson, Kirk Merritt, etc, etc. Kevin Toliver is so good a thread should be made for him atleast once per week, kid just put on a show at his spring game.

I think the picnic will create some buzz heading into the summer with guys like Leo Lewis and Jamal Peters attending.

Hard to follow kids that only want to troll websites and fanbases. I still follow, but now near as much as I used to. Mainly due to the fact that these kids know how to deceive different parties.

Seriously, it's more of a game to these kids and I've got better things to do with my time than watch a 17 year old kid lie and decieve people for enjoyment.

As long as Cam Cameron is our offensive coordinator we will continue to pull in big time talent on offense both in state and out of state. There will always be a few players that choose to go elsewhere but having him is huge for recruiting! I think Devin White committing early is a good sign, and the 2016 class is looking a lot like the one we just pulled in. 2015 class doesn't have to be as good as 2014 in order for us to win titles. We already have the pieces in place. Once these freshman the field this year in Cam's offense I think offensive recruiting for us will have reached a new level. We are already considered a great landing spot for quarterbacks. This class will pick up soon and especially during the season in my opinion. I think Tyron Johnson will be ours which is huge! That would be 2 top 10 players in the nation with tolliver already on board. Going to be a good class and an even better one next year!

These names are starting to pick up some steam and most of these guys were much less mature physically than some of the guys from last year. Louisiana is going to churn out some athletes and this class is loaded and probably even deeper, it's just not as top heavy.

This class will probably end up just as good. There are going to be a lot of late bloomers, not guys who have been ordained as 5 stars since Freshman year. Guys like Donte Jackson will be huge gets if they commit. I think we all got too into it last year and then set ourselves up for disappointment. This year, my attitude is that it will end up being a good class and not sweating over individual recruits.
