this years AP All American team was made up of mostly 4 star players. 3 of the other players were 0 stars, no ranking out of high school.

This has been debunked repeatedly. Five stars pan out more than four stars, which pan out more than three stars, etc. However, there are more four star players than five star players. That's why there are more four star all stars.

I wonder if the 5 stars that graduate early effects this stat. For example, La'el Collins, Landon Collins and Amari Cooper, all 5 stars, all left their respective programs as juniors. The All-Americans selected this year at those respective positions are all seniors this year. I wonder if those that got selected this year would have gotten those same honors if those 3 would have stayed for their senior seasons.

So dabo is fantastic because he made the playoff this year (thanks to being able to outlast south Carolina and Syracuse) playing in the ACC where he has significantly more talent than everyone but fl st? After all these years he finally didn't choke away a couple games (thanks Spurrier) in a year fl st wasn't their best...and suddenly he is the new saban. Gotcha. Not even saying he is a bad coach....but man some of you overreact.

Sometimes you can never get through to some people.....they just aren't numbers people and will never get it. I love it when they bring up a 3 star excelled....well there are literally hundreds and hundreds of 3 star players...while there are roughly 25 5 star players...of which around half will make the NFL...while less than 10% of 3 stars will. Which one do I want on my team? Ha. There is a reason that bama dominates.... And it ain't just sabans coaching....

He has sold the whole "business decision" thing....even though it's not accurate when comparing NFL potential/careers of bama players vs LSU players. LSU players have actually performed better, in both productivity and $$$$. Doesn't matter though if the recruits and their parents aren't smart enough to see through this. Hell we just had several threads on one particular high-level recruit and it appears his family has bought into it as well....someone needs to lay it out....bama and lsu players in NFL....playing lifespan of said NFL players and earnings and productivity (all pro/pro bowl/MVP etc). I'm guessing LSU would more than hold it's on in that "business decision".

They are well coached obviously....but there is a great number of coaches that given that talent could accomplish as much or more...there are some great minds out there that just never get the right chance.

Alabama has had exactly what it needed in that style of offense. Had the two programs swapped qbs over last several years it would have made a tremendous impact. Saban recruits the type qb he needs for his offense...les doesn't.

What has us losing to bama every year is 3 five stars for every one of ours....and QB. Saban takes the best players and a smart system qb....and wins. End of story.

I don't think Miles recruits crappy QB's by choice, it has just turned out that way 9probably because of our offense). Look at this year for example, we have pursued Franks, Haskins, and Patterson. But are most likely going to wind up with a couple no names lower tiered players. It's not by choice.

I still cannot believe LSU has had ONE 5 star QB in the history of the program...

ryan perrilloux... and he was kicked off the team in his 4th season at LSU.

All the talent in Texas and that's all they can take in? Other than this year's game against OK, which I still can't figure out, OK has none on that list and yet here we are, they are in the last 4 standing, just like Mich. St.
