I agree with others on this. The reality is that Storm wasn't as high on the board. Why would they not want Ware to do the same thing as Storm and stay silent? Is Lache scared of Storm but not Ware? No indeed. It's just a preference thing.
And I feel bad for the kid, but this happens all over. He'll wind up at a good school.

if that were the case then why even bother with the initial offer? The staff knew storm clearly wanted to be a tiger. They could have easily held off until his season started.
No, to get legitimate interest from an out of state guy, you have to offer them. Otherwise they will never seriously consider a place they don't feel they can ever go.
By giving an "offer" they up Storm's interest level, while also being able to "play the field."
If they miss out on a higher ranked guy with a committable offer, then they can turn Storm's "uncommittable" offer into a "committable" offer without him even realizing it (unless of course he were to try to commit when it was still uncommittable).

If they knew they could get Spencer Ware, they probably never would have offered him.
And if you wait until the season starts, in most cases, it is too late.

My only explanation was the cat was already out of the bag when Storm's dad came out and said what he said. No point in keeping another RB silent when it's clearly out there we were getting another RB.

I haven't even given my thoughts on Ware yet...
I'm not nearly as positive as many of this board is with Ware.
All I will say is go watch John Williams film and get back to me.

And say what you will about Storm's father--but by him going public, Storm's subsequent offer withdrawal now looks twice as bad.

Like I said, imo, Lache is a silent. Either that or the staff REAAAAALLY likes where they stand with him. They wouldn't just call the kid and say "Sorry!" If he were pissed off about them rescinding the offer completely, that only tells me the numbers are pushing him out......and I'm pretty sure it's common sense that tells you that Lache is #1 on their board.
I feel better about Lache than I ever have now.

I will feel sorry for Storm if this is true.
From reading a handful of theories, I'm more convinced than ever that no one on this board knows Jack Shat about what really went down or how.

Why not? Are you not high on him, or do you think he's being overrated by both recruiting services?
Either way...why? His film seems pretty good to me...

John Williams still has time to contribute.

It sucks. You feel bad when this happens to good kids. They have to know that there are always better kids out there who are willing to commit.

That's the sad part about this situation...Storm didn't sit on his "offer" like others did (e.g. Blue). He TRIED to commit...shite, drove 10 hrs. to do it in person.

That's the part that pisses me off the most.
I can't help but think, "What if this were to ever happen to my son?"

A lot of hearsae going on right now, but I'll just say I'll be very disappointed if Storm is not with us come next season. Seems like a good prospect with a good attitude that wants to be here that we obviously offerred at some point in time.

Yeah, I think he is overrated. He does not impress me that much.
To me, he looks like a prospect that can do it all on the high school level, but it won't translate at the college level.
Once again, I will be in the very small minority, but I'll put him on my "bust" list. If he shines, then great, I'll eat crow--but I just don't see it.

maybe he should be pissed at his retarded daddy

To me, he looks like a prospect that can do it all on the high school level, but it won't translate at the college level.
