With the historic epic season for the ages LSU just completed why is LSU not gaining more interest from the top recruits left on the board? While you have teams like UGA who LSU beat down two years in a row and UGA not winning a natty since 1980 racking up on recruits! Frustrating!

We used to chastise recruits for taking the easy way out and going to Bama. Now that we are on top, we are criticizing guys for going to programs that haven’t reached the top.

Most “top recruits” are already signed/committed/know where they are going.

We “should” see a boost in recruiting next year unless we fall apart during the next season.

Dude yea everyone does, but there is a level at which teams should get checked. Georgia has reached that level.

There are a ton of questions going forward with LSU at the moment. Specifically what Coach O will do to replace the staff that has left. Additionally, as of this moment we are a one year wonder and have to prove our success can be sustained. People want to bag on Georgia, but they are the better program since Kirby has been there.

Kirby took a page out of Freeze's book while at Ole Miss...Although Ole Miss was a little more obvious bc they were terrible...i believe Kirby now has a burner phone with prostitutes on speed dial

Most of the decisions were already made. LSU does still have some top recruits on the board. As far as very top QBs those decisions are made a lot earlier

LSU is clearly not a one year wonder. Anyone understanding talent level and rosters knows that.

Georgia plays in a much softer division and has a much softer schedule than LSU for a decade or more.

Riddle me this. In one discussion I listen to how Georgia has 20 five stars in their two deep roster..and their talent level and recruiting are so much better than LSU.. Kirby is the second greatest coach ever... but the one year wonder team beat them 36 to 16 in 2018 and 37 to 10 in 2019.

Lsu has 4 championship game appearances since 2003 and has won 3 of those. About once every five years. So not up to the Bama standard over the last ten years or Clemson I guess. Who else can claim that type of performance. Oklahoma? We beat them twice.. Ohio State? We beat them as well. LSU is in pretty good company. Hardly a one year wonder.

LSU is arguably the most consistent program over the last 20 years. We finished 6th last year and really should have been higher but for suspect officiating at TX A&M.

Finally, we had the greatest season in history which really isn’t debatable. Georgia hasn’t closed the deal since 1980 while LSU has won 3.

Four NC game appearances since 2003 is not a "one year wonder".

Nope. Not at all...

Since 2016 UGA is 44-12 (.78) and LSU is 42-11 (.79) both teams have one SEC Championship during that time frame, BUT LSU has a National Championship and is 2-0 against UGA head-to-head, outscoring them 73-26 in those two contests.

LSU also has way more top-10 wins than the Dawgs and way more hardware than UGA in the last four years (Heisman for instance). All of this is despite the fact LSU plays a much tougher schedule by being in the SEC West.

There are questions about UGA as well. They have a new Oc and offensive line coach. They blew there championship game while LSU beat Clemson in the same fashion that they beat UGA the last 2 years. But continue with your better program narrative.
