Exactly, and I think it's amazing coincidence that this all took place right around the time Bates was getting told he wasn't that special!

That wasn't the arguement, you are way off, I was talking of the possibility that Bates got turned on because the bigger fish, MJ, lost interest in the Tigers. Bates was....the bait.
And many think that doesn't happen in recruiting. I does for sure and Bates was expendable to us after the late commitments and MJ's turning on us. It's related in some way, book it.

Has he never heard of All-Pro DTs Albert Haynesworth and John Henderson? I guess Chavis just isn't too strong of a defensive coach. I would have to think he knows A little more about the LSU defensive staff. Haley used to be the DL coach of the Bears too.
