You think Herman gave Ed Oliver a 2 week notice? You think Richt gave the 20 kids that signed to play for him last week a 2 week notice? Did Greedy give Orgeron a 2 week notice?

What does this have to do with anything?

I'm well aware that this is what's going on. So no need to rationalize anything..

VolTiger - heard from a very reliable guy that the Sospher's have been playing hardball with Saban and really pushing the aspect that he and his brother play together and Saban is pissed so much so that Saban himself told Ish that wouldn't happen. Can you confirm?

That’s what struck me. HS QB, asked to bulk up to play DE, slimmed down to play LB because he was such a good athlete.

He won't count against the 25 after being here a year now. I just recently noticed that they made the change in the spring and was effective this fall.

Exactly! Time to think and act like a program competing for titles and to position itself to topple the evil empire. Ruthless, calculating, exploiting the rules within reason and looking after its own best interests and bending the rules without getting caught LOL!

Not in those exact words, but what I was told is Saban has called their bluff and has no intention of bringing the brother with him to Alabama on scholarship.

Thank you Indiana Tiger, good to know.

This makes PWO management easier, and more important now. Seems LSU has been using it wisely so far.

Not trying ruin the mood but if we are speaking directly about him being on scholarship, if Saban really values Ish he could just get Rodney in the school and have some boosters pay his tuition and let Rodney walk on right?

If Rodney is on the team, walk-on or scholarship either, any job/pay/gifts is subject to impermissible benefits rules. Which those include no-show jobs and overpaid jobs; the benefits have to be the same that any other student would get.

If he's not on the team and just a student they can overpay him all they want.

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me. I have no clue what’s legal and not legal. We know Bama plays dirty but maybe not that dirty.

This rule has always been adhered to by Alabama in the past.
