If he says this and then chooses anyone other than LSU (since he was committed in that time frame) then we should never get excited about a verbal commitment from a high school junior. Just shows how crazy recruiting is. I’ve come to the point where I’m not sold on a recruit coming to LSU until the pen meets the paper on signing day

A guy I know has been a Bama big donor for some time. Dude usually keeps things close to the vest with these sort of things. This past year LSU really got under his skin from which I get tremendous satisfaction. He swears up and down that Jackson has been a silent to Alabama for a very long time. Whether or not I believe him, I don’t know about that. I’m hoping he is full of shite.

Jimbo and A&M were desperate. Really desperate, They signed 2 3* dlineman. They needed Jackson more than LSU and Bama and were willing to do what was needed to get him.
