Nobody can compete with oil money. LSU can make kids rich with NIL but it will continue to come down to what’s more important for each recruit. If it’s getting rich with NIL,getting developed for the NFL, and the opportunity to win championships then they will pick LSU. If it is solely about money and Texas / a&m make them the richest then it will be them that the recruit picks. I honestly thought that after A&M bought the #1 recruiting class that it would translate more on the field , but thus far it has not.

People on this board really have no clue. 
I wonder why Texas and A&M haven't just bought every major player off to get championships the past 20 years. It's as if this is something new when it's not new it's just in the open more. LSU is very competitive with NIL deals.
Texas is just in desperation mode right now and know they have to get off to a good start in SEC. They will identify their can't misses and pay them just like LSU will.

So you're already creating the narrative in your head, without providing any evidence, that if we land him it's because texas didn't want him. I guess atm didn't want Harold Perkins either. We just got "lucky" they passed on him, according to your logic.
