It’s not really that hard to believe. Throughout the entire transition he’s been very positive on social media about the program and never made it seem like there was a chance he was leaving. All of a sudden he hits the portal. Something obviously changed quick and I doubt it was him suddenly disliking the program

So CBK kicks off a starter at a position of need?

An example was made out of him. Thats what this program needs.

What was BK supposed to do? Keep giving him chance after chance? How's he supposed to change the culture if he continues catering to players like the last staff did?

You think since he is a starter a position of need he should be above the rules set out for the team?

FWIW- McGlothern went to 3 different HS, in 2 different metro areas…school loyalty hasn’t really been on resume

He wasn't transferring to football powerhouses, by any stretch.

I thing his moves were just family circumstances.

Probably should have just made him run in place
while he sprayed a water hose in his face

If the slacker attitude is legit reporting, we got the better end of the deal.

McGlothern is not happy about this btw. He badly wanted to be at LSU and genuinely loves LSU. He had no other choice

Sorry to see him go if he really loved LSU. I hope this helps him mature and propels him to succeed in the future.

I wish him well but the culture had to improve.

Then know your place and mind your attitude. He obviously didn't want to be here enough to follow the rules. BK is laying the law down and I'm fine by it. You want to be here you do as your told with discipline and not a me first attitude. This is absolutely what we need.

I love it. For him to receive warnings and he continued to do it. Discipline on and off the field.

Knowing LSU’s luck, he’s learned his lesson, and will go to Arkansas and become an all conference player!

They took Landon Jackson as well. Not a loss since he never played but healthy he is a huge talent.

Landon Jackson is absolutely not a “huge talent”. That is absurd and shows you just looked at his high school ratings. He’s amazingly stiff and even when healthy couldn’t crack PT on special teams. Word out of LSU was that he was pretty terrible in practice. Recruiting services and coaches just miss sometimes.

That being said, McGlothern is potentially an NFL CB and I wanted him to stay, but trust Kelly.

And you obviously never watched his high school film. He has been injured since his senior year of HS. Stop spouting off bullshite when you have no clue what you’re talking about.

He fought the decision and wanted 1 more chance, but Kelly had enough.

Is anyone else worried that this sudden shift to a disciplinarian regime following 2 years of resting-on-laurels O is going to backfire?

Starting to sound like why we didn’t want BoB.

His high school film is good. Against high school kids. His college performance, even when healthy, was apparently so bad he couldn’t get snaps on ST and people who viewed practice walked away saying he stuck out as being being an under-performer.

And if a guy is so perpetually injured he can’t perform well he is not a huge talent.

If he has an attitude and nothing has even started yet. Hell yeah he needs to go. The culture is going to change and I am happy about that. With the amount of people that are leaving you can tell Orgeron let them do whatever the hell they wanted
