Kind of shocking after he completed 35% of his passes as a junior

We have a commit that completed 35% of his passes during a high school season??? Is that why our QB problems have been so bad for so damn long?

That's an improvement from the #911 they have him in his rank history as of yesterday

Steve Wiltfong is trying to justify the drop on 247 right now, it's cringe worthy, they fricked up, bottom line.

I don’t understand how this guy can be terrible in high school but still a four star recruit. Let’s see if he takes a big jump this season.

He lost like 4-5 receivers to injury last year on an already bad team (including his brother), it was a shite show of people who had no clue how to run routes or catch the ball in a lot of cases.

Max still has things to work on but in camp settings this summer it was reported many times over over he looked pretty good. Not barely Top 1000 worthy crappy.

Let's keep in mind we offer King earlier this year and could have had him, but the coaches decided to totally pass on him and stick with Finley and Johnson after seeing their progression. So either the coaching staff has zero clue what they're doing or 247 is seriously overrating King and underrating Johnson.

They are still adjusting rankings outside of 247, and after the backlash they just got on the boards I bet we see him much higher than 800-900 range soon

Patrick Mahomes was way below Brandon Harris. Just saying.

But yeah this could be a decision that haunts them or makes them look like geniuses.

I’m just more surprised that they went with 2 true pro style guys after Parish and the new RPO offense.

Could be that he can only throw the passes. He can't catch them also. He did very well in camps this summer. VERY WELL!!!

Something I always forget about him. Not only was his Dad an NFL QB but his uncle knows a little about football also.

Great to have our Uncle Mark, Coach Richt home for the weekend for YaYa’s graduation!

If he's 880, they must have a dozen first ballot HOF guy at the top.

The RPO offense does not need a dual threat QB.

247 does not like Johnson. Rivals seems to be high on him.

Only time will tell if Rivals and LSU are the smartest guys in the room.

Same thing with Harrison Bailey.

Rivals has him on the verge of a 5th star, but 247/ESPN thinks he's trash because of a "lack of mobility" for a pocket passer.

He's the 5th rated pocket passer for 2020 according to espn.

It's crazy a guy can be 195th on composite and 880th in 247...that means something is wayyyy off in 247.

But it is proof why the composite is best. If one rankings site is way off, the others bring it back towards reality.

They moved him up to #739 now. Check out his ranking history.

Still a total joke for a player of his caliber, he pretty much has it all outside the high school stats last year and working on accuracy some. Great athlete, good intangibles, decent mechanics (but a lefty), pedigree, great physical attributes and great offer list....Not even a top 700 overall player
