After a Spring practice QB battle with Justin Fields that appears to have been a position battle in name only, Baldwin is now looking to come closer to home (Lake Travis, TX).
Any chance we give him a look?

Family relative over on TOS is hinting it is LSU
And this writer for Bucknuts tweeted this:
Sounds like he is hinting at LSU but not coming out and saying it.
I don't know how it would work with the numbers since we signed a full 2019 class

I expect Matthew Baldwin to end up at a school closer to his hometown of Austin, Texas. Maybe not IN Texas necessarily, but in that region of the country.

He couldnt beat out fields and fields can barely throw a forward pass.
Myles Brennan will start when Burrow leaves. You can take that to the bank.

Brennan has it locked up after Burrows is gone, and the talented frosh's coming in are the future.

This is a serious question, but is this actually a thing with Fields?
I figured he could sling it around.

Norman is actually closer than Baton Rouge and Stillwater is almost the same distance so

Been taking with him a while. Not set in stone but I really like our chances

Don’t believe we have room for any transfers this summer. He would have to walk on and then get a scholly next year like Williams from UT

Exactly. Same offer is in the table for him.

Ohio is a farm club for the Tigers.

Yes. This is the "other possible transfer" I was referring to a few months back when we landed Williams. Since his family is openly talking about it apparently, I'll go ahead and confirm that this is who I was meaning.

So when he’s eligible to play he will be a redshirt sophomore? Brennan a Junior?
Posted on 4/18/19 at 8:34 pm to alumni95
Yes both his parents graduated from LSU

Smart didnt let him throw the ball because he sucked.

If he walks on, then gets a scholarship in his second year, I know that scholly will count towards the 85 total but does it count towards the 25 for 2020?
