UCLA fans also worried pitcher Addisen Fisher might leave. She was Nat'l Gatorade Player of the Year a year ago.

This is the land of “sauce” so naturally going to be a skeptic. Many on here were adamant Bryce Neal wanted out but I think a little digging shows that’s bullshite.

Obviously I don’t think lsu can compete with Tech and OU’s NIL but I’m not sure what she’s looking for. It wouldn’t break lsu with the SDSU transfer looking like a great #2 anyway.

Berzon just committed to Oklahoma. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a big season but I’m also not sure she’s going to be good enough to maintain their level of success

I’m sure she’ll be fine, they did a nice job with Landry from the Cajuns and they have a top pitching recruit coming in so OU gonna be OU till Patty retires

Fever dreaming but would be nice to get one of the two UCLA pitchers in the portal. I would be surprised if Fischer didn’t go back home to Oregon though.

Good for her, my understanding is she had her chances and chose UL. My guess is she saw the All American catcher at LSU and said nah I want it easy so let’s go to a place where I might never see postseason. Wish her the best!

She’ll have much more run support there, just like Chaffin did this season.

Huh? LSU offense was top 20 offense, Miss St not in the top 25.. try again. Oklahoma offense was a half run per game better. Nice try

LSU’s offense continued the trend from the last many years, bats went ice cold when it mattered most - the postseason.

ETA: Be honest, when Chaffin left did you think you’d see her with a 23-win season?

We have anyone visiting today? Saw Torina at the baseball game, letting some young girls take selfies with the field in the back drop

They scored 7 runs vs SE and lost is 7 runs not enough? The offense was top 20 in the country period!! OU went cold in the WS they must suck lol As far as Chaffin, I was happy for her!!

Let’s talk about OU onward….

You’re cherry-picking SELU as your offensive showcase? That’s sad man. Did you see what Nebraska did to SELA?

State supported Chaffin way more than LSU ever did. It’s a simple fact.

Berzon will be fine at OU.

The actual facts prove you wrong so keep yapping, let me give u some more facts. Berzon gave up 9 vs Georgia, then got shelled vs A&M twice- they treated her like a jr high pitcher. Then she blew a lead in the 7th vs South Carolina, LSU gave her the lead 3 times in the 6th or 7th vs Texas and she blew 2. She got destroyed vs Arkansas.. that’s the Berzon SEC record. The fact is LSU had a better offense than Miss St, those are undisputed facts. Miss St supported Chaffin so much she got beat 5-0 vs LSU in the SEC tournament.. now run along little BOY
Oh I did see what Nebraska did, they run ruled them and SE couldn’t score against Bahl unlike Berzon

The actual facts was she led the team in ERA at 2.46.

Berzon will be just fine.

That’s your answer is the alleged AA led the team with a 2.46 era? Btw, when you get past the scrubs she beat her ERA was 3.50 in the SEC, that’s pathetic!! You do know they were going to ask her to leave right?

The team has done the same thing as they do every year despite 7 different senior classes since 2017, start out hot, collapse mid to late SEC play, fall short in post season. We can point fingers all we want on individual players etc but the consistent trend points to a systemic issue that has yet to be addressed.

We have found ways to lose in critical moments when it has mattered most. Some seasons it’s been offense, some pitching, some defense, some a combination of the above.

Will that change next season? I’m not sure, we have all hopes that will change every offseason and have yet to see it happen yet. Of course I’ll always cheer and root for them to but hard to have hope it’ll change to be honest

This season reeled me back in for the first time in half a decade with a new hitting approach. Needless to say they’ve broken me again

For a time this team was the most fun group since the Hoover/walljasper days but that quickly changed.

Berzon leaving also deflates things a little but you can see a scenario we upgrade, but I’m with you wanting to bring in a pitching coach for fresh takes
