Yeah man I hate what they did to Howard Dobson, he didn’t deserve that disloyalty after he basically recruited the elite players and then it went down after he went to Team USA. The horrible 3rd base coaching last night reminded me on how much Dobson could have brought to this team as the 3rd base coach. A legitimate offensive coach not a pitching coach masquerading (poorly) like an offensive coach.

They scored 4 off Berzon with multiple home runs, she isn’t the same pitcher!! Again, according to the radar gun on tv she was 64 most of the night.. that’s very average

My guess is Neal aspires to be a head coach somewhere but it'll be at least a couple more years I think before he gets such an opportunity (if he gets such an opportunity) at a good school so unless Torina is abusive to him which she clearly isn't he isn't going anywhere. He and his family just bought a house there too.
You know more than me however until I owned my own business I didn’t realize how unhappy I was. If anyone is unhappy at their current job they will find a new one especially if they are in demand. I’m not saying he is unhappy I have no clue but if the offense continues into the SEC he will be in demand just like Singleton, JT Gasso and a few others are. There are better places to work and better ppl to work with than the DEI crew…look at what that they did to Dobson, he made Torina successful then went to Team USA and the place went down hill.

Agree with that Casual. It will probably be more a matter of what he would be willing to uproot himself for. I don’t see any of the SEC positions opening up—well unless the Tigers about face nosedive and they call for Torina’s head. Very true on the unhappiness point.

And Hodge is an automatic out but is hitting .333? You have shite takes.

Long yr brother, let’s wait and see!! I also said I hope I’m dead wrong but to say it’s a bad take until we get into SEC is premature..we were 24-0 last yr and then the typical SEC swoon happened.

You’re probably right unless Singleton, Harger , Aric Thomas get head coaching gigs. Patty Gasso will retire soon and by all accounts JT Gasso is set to be HC, who will he hire?

I would submit the same to you in your assessment of Berzon.

Ahhhhhh. You mean a lateral move not HC spot!! Now I see your point.

lol!!! Well even when I disagree with your takes I enjoy reading them! lol.
But seriously, I think Heavener is gonna be fine. Actually still think she’s gonna be good. But control with the ability and moxie to spin it “through” the zone is where she can grow. When they chase—like in the first inning—she’s is absolutely dominant. And does a good job of making those out of zone pitches look like they will be in the zone pitches. She’ll get better and she’ll get tougher. But I think Berzon will still be the ace this year.
Today was rough but hopefully Heavener grows fast.

I have to side with Casual on Hodge for now. She may make a believer out of me eventually but she is feasting on very subpar arms right now. I’ve seen her struggle mightily and not look anything like the player playing today against high level arms—along with a couple others. I too hope to be wrong but all evidence suggests she will
continue to struggle in the bigger games. But let’s wait and see.

I don't think our 2 aces like cold weather

Siding with casual is a losing hand, but you do you.

I was up at OU one weekend last season to see one of my best friends daughter pitch and that's when Hodge was starting to play regularly because of an injury I believe. She showed signs of hitting like in HS and travel... plus as a HS coach we played her every year and I was to the point that we made sure we didn't throw anything she could reach with her bat. I think she will be fine in time.
I said this a couple of weeks ago...

Again, it’s based on history not just wild guesses but like I also stated I hope you get to come on here and call me a idiot because she is smashing…at the end of the day we all want to LSU to win.

lol. Casual will tell you himself that we don’t always see eye to eye on positions and have some differing opinions but positions based on evidence typically get my support regardless of the author. Until proven otherwise I find the Hodge position a logically sound one (unlike the McKee position). imho

And Daniels numbers seem to have picked right up from last season and better than McKee again just like last season.
I have a feeling that Daniels lack of starting opportunities is more related to her defense. She can hit just as well as anyone on the team but if you are a liability in the field, that will limit your opportunities.
