Thread title is accurate, but makes sense.

LSU will get a top 5 QB, and pay him about $5Mil of their roughly $40 Mil budget (12.5%). The top 5 QBs in the NFL make roughly $60Mil per year - 20% of the $280Mil salary cap.

Anyone remember Basketball from the late 90s? Guys ask Remer “Donyounthink shaq made his fortune playing in Orlando”. And Remeber responds “no, he made it playing in college”. ??. It’s actually true now.

Arch Manning last year was paid more than Purdy from the 49ers

Speaking of Purdy, while watching the 49ers the other night, the announcers mentioned their stadium (only) holds 68,000. Compared to Tiger Stadium at 102,000+, I was laughing to myself on the money they are missing out on the butts they could have in those seats.

Then I focused on their stadium. They literally have 3 upper decks of premium suites. Yeah, they aren't hurting from a lack of seat revenue.

Fact check me on this, but i heard revenues from regular seats in the NFL are split amongst the 32 teams, whereas revenue from parking and suites goes directly to the home team. As a result, NFL owners are after suite-laden stadiums with onsite parking.

The NFL players union will probably strike and want more money. It’s comical that SEC football players aren’t considered professional athletes.
