Why do we assume these players are short sighted?
In my opinion TT vs LSU is no contest in terms of becoming a big name in a small pond
Nobody watches TT against Baylor and SMU type games
If he wants a big stage- he simply looks at LSU home schedule next year

While true, when you consider what's happening right now with the portal, this is a job fair and free agency.
This kid is pretty uniquely positioned as the top QB in the FA class. He has set his price and (smartly) decided to visit two schools.
The most likely scenario is he doesn't "sign" with LSU right away and has his agent negotiate with both programs to get the highest price.
But, the reason this is TTU vs. LSU is because these two programs have told him already that they are willing to pay up.

Yea walking out in tiger stadium and seeing our facilities compared to Texas tech is big. Also have those 3 Heisman up front so he can see them.
