if history is any indicator we won't get Tua's brother and Parrish will decommit after he finds out LSU is pursuing another QB. Staff will panic and we will end up with a 1 star QB from Montana and then we'll have to read on this board for months how the 1 star QB is a steal who was misevaluated by the recruiting services and should be a 4 star.

And by their respective on the field production, that would have been a bridge well worth burning. Perhaps the coaching staff sees a similar gigantic difference in ability sufficient to get out the maches again.

Bama trolling

“Count Alabama quarterback commit Taulia Tagovailoa among the future Alabama players trying to sway Sanders this week.

"Taulia is always coming at me. We're on the same team," Sanders said, referring to The Opening's 7on7 tournament, "and he said this could be the future."

Parrish is a stud.

6'2 205 and a 4.5?

SIGN ME UP. He has a strong enough arm for college ball. Taulia has an NFL arm but isn't as athletic.

What would you prefer

I don't think we can go wrong with either one of them. The problem will be developing them once they arrive which has historically been our downfall. Hopefully that narrative changes under SE.

If this is true, curious as to when they'd make it public. Are they hiding it to prevent the pressure and not lose their other commit? I would be very skeptical this is a recruiting strategy to make our QB commit go elsewhere but if that was the case they would've made the commit public already. I think he has genuine interest rather than a real agenda here for the those who shall not be named.

He’s looking hard at LSU. Personally I believe we have a good one in Parish. I don’t want to lose him unless little Tua is a lock and I just don’t believe he is. Parish has a live arm, 4.5 speed and is 2” taller. As long as we land one of em I’m good but don’t lose one unless the other is a sure thing. And I don’t believe Little bro is.

I'm skeptical when OOS guys that haven't been recruited by us much commit during their 1st visit. If the staff thinks the commitment is shaky then i understand. I'd rather go all out to keep Peter though.

Taulia says he remains committed to Alabama despite a recruiting trip to Tennessee last month, but who could really blame him for wanting to explore his options. Back in Hawaii, he didn't play at the same high school as his older brother, and there has to be an appeal to choosing a different path in college, too. At Alabama, Taulia would always be compared to Tua. At Tennessee (or any other school), he still would be compared to his older brother but, but at least he could potentially line up against his brother in less than two years and beat him.

quote:

Just imagine, Tua and Alabama vs. Taulia and Tennessee. The hype would be a year in the making. Is Taulia going to beat out his older brother at Alabama? He probably wouldn't even be given the chance. And then there's this. As if the quarterback position wasn't already complicated enough at Alabama, it's going to include the great-grandson of Paul Bryant beginning in January. Good luck being the kid competing against Paul Tyson at Alabama.

AL.com story says he may want to get out of the shadow of his brother.

Here's what I've heard...
Taulia and his parents both wouldn't mind him playing somewhere other than Bama, but the other place would have to be a great fit. He isn't jumping ship to someone else just to do so. That being said, we would take him, but not at the expense of losing Parrish. We have been working with both behind the scenes to see if this is something we can work out or not. To be totally honest, with the other targets that we are still on, and big names that are still showing big interest in the class, I just don't see it happening. Too much of a numbers crunch and needs still to be filled. That being said, Kardell should know better than to open his mouth about all of this because we don't want other teams coming underneath us and trying to flip Parrish knowing that we are still talking to Taulia. Everything was supposed to be being kept off the record for the most part. Like I said, don't get your hopes up too much on this, but know that there is an outside shot still.

Taulia just won The Opening Long Toss where he threw the ball 66 yards.

There's no doubt he has a better arm than Parrish, but he's streaky at best with his accuracy, and definitely doesn't have the home run speed that Parrish has.
