If they want to consistently have top 3 classes like Bama.

Most of you have not gone through the campus facilities at Bama — but I have. LSU is like back in the 1990’s with their facilities (union area, colleges buildings, dorm rooms, campus & off campus transportation, campus lighting, etc.) and Bama’s nightlife is so much closer and nicer than Tigerland and even Tiger Town.

There must be a plan by the LSU President to begin the build new, modern academic facilities & student life facilities.

The nightLife aspect will depend on the mayor & city council.

Hell, even La. Tech is far more modernized & kept up than LSU

Go look at both campuses, and if you’re honest with yourselves - you’ll realize LSU is in need of a major overhaul.

Yeah, like they ruined the outside of Tiger Stadium with the new facade.

I’m pretty sure lsu has nearly replaced every old dorm.

Really wish we’d build a beautiful library that can be a centerpiece for the school

So you want LSU and Baton Rouge to modernize for football recruiting?

I definitely think it should be done, but football recruiting is about Reason #1004.

Hey Juan, CFB recruits DGAF about off-campus transportation, dorm rooms, and building architecture. 18-19 yr old kids are interested in NIL $$, playing time, winning championships, smoking weed, and chasing poontang. If Tech's campus is more modernized than LSU, then please explain their recruiting rankings ?

Athletic facilities are priority over anything academic. Nobody goes to LSU for academics. It's a simple fact. Would it be nice? Sure, but they've already invested some on that end. Modernization goes into athletics first and once all those facilities are up to par, then you focus on the academic side. Academics don't sell you in recruiting. Opportunity to the next level does.

LSU's campus is fine right now. There's a few areas that could use work. I haven't been to LA Tech's campus though.

Lester

Yes I have. Did an extensive tour w/ my youngest this past Spring. LSU pales in comparison to Bama. Period.

If this state keeps sliding into the shite hole we are moving to the Fla. coast —- but Bama is a close 2nd or 3rd.

Y’all are delusional about the state of this city, state and university. They all suck in comparison to other states, cities and campuses.

Having very nice athletic dorms is really the only thing I think could help. Our actual athletic facilities for football are top notch.

I live near LSU and I've been on Alabama's campus in the last few months. I don't think either are different enough where any kid makes their school decision because the campus is so much better.

LSU has been constantly remodeling buildings the last 15 years. Not sure what the OP actually expects.

Oh I realized this thread is one of those generic muh state sucks. Seriously, tell your kid to go to Bama as if Alabama is a beacon of wonder.

CatfishJohn,

When you walk into a dorm “center” like one of the main ones on Bama’s campus - PRESIDENTS 1 or PRESIDENTS 2, you’ll run into many Bama athletes, basketball
, baseball & football.

Picture 2 large 6-7 story dorm facilities — laid out in a “v” shape — with a large community center attached to both in the middle. That middle area is a multi use space for both of those dorms. A main fitness gym, food court area, lounges area.

Also, these dorms allow for co-eds on all floors. My son has numerous “floor” parties — where guys / chicks go from one room to the next. This is before & after they go out into T-town

The dorm room is about 1000 sq ft - with two single private bedrooms and bathrooms on both sides —- and a kitchen and large “den area” in between both.

He has several football players coming over —- b/c the fine arse blondes are on his floor —- and other floors.

Right, his son is probably a normal student.

Athletes get treated differently, especially football players. They have great amenities
