I think its because of NIL. They want to find the tweeners who dont command a large price tag. At DL, might be fine so we can build a rotation and get more high-effort snaps out of Smith and Wingo.

And why exactly do you have this fear? What has the staff done to this point to warrant said fear?

What big name prospects?
Have you seen the portal list? There are certainly some good players, and more will enter later, but there are no superstars.
The G5 or FCS players that were mis-scouted, or who exceed their rankings are often the best players in the portal.
The P5 players are often transferring because they weren't playing, had issues at their current school, or want to get NIL money.

I’m not even sure you know what you’re arguing.
You said "Brian Polian isn’t handing out offers to transfers without the blessings of like 3 other people." This is a straw man fallacy. In case you didn't attend school, you can read about it here Wikipedia.
Good luck.

If you’re not suggesting that Polian is offering guys, then what are you saying?
Why bring up Polian at all?
Why bring up Polian at all?

Alright, I’ll jump start this topic again, after the nonsense. This would be a nice get for LSU. Does anyone have any idea on his offer list, just curious? Sure he’ll get plenty of attention.

Polian is the chief talent evaluator on the team.

Alright, the topic is about the player, not Polian nor the recruiting or evaluating responsibilities.

This kid can play and we get minutes immediately if he chooses LSU.

Ok but this thread is specifically about an offer. If we give out an offer, that means Kelly and House and Cain have signed off on it. It also likely means the scouting team has corroborated everything, or possibly done all of the evaluation.
It’s a group effort.

Yeah for sure, immediate impact. Be a nice running mate for Perkins too

I like this offer a lot.
This is the type of offers lsu should be making.
You grab players like him and the corner from cincy.

If they get some projects then fine but make no mistake, this Staff is Big Game Hunting.

Kewl, Thanks for getting that out.

Nice, Michigan has a major eye for DL/edge guys as well. He’d get good playtime almost anywhere but imagine him under Cain and in the BK strength and conditioning program. Legit NFL prospect
Posted on 12/9/22 at 5:45 pm to The Baker
What is your point? You think they offer based solely on his evaluation? It doesn't go to Polian or BK first anyway, it goes through LSU's SCOUTING department who comb through thousands of prospects. They make a list of who they might want to look at and the coaching staff makes the evaluation/offers. Polian isn't the decider here, it's BK's decision.
