LSU has never signed a Shaquille - since the original

There is always a crop of kids named after famous people with unique names and they, of course, start showing up on recruiting lists.
The Shaqs started about 15 years ago, then the Kobes a few years after that and the Lebrons are just starting.
There have been plenty of football and basketball prospects named Shaq or Shaquille, but I don’t believe we have ever signed one.
(I’m not trying to make a big point here, just a light-hearted observation)

I don't know if it counts but "Shaq" has been Tre'Davious White's nickname most of his life.

No one else has signed a Shaquille either, because there hasn’t been another like him.
