LSU had hootie wrapped up about 4 months ago and did not close the deal. same can be said for quille. I think Monday's decisions are a result (at least in part) of LSU letting all these 5 star kids wait for all star games to announce. a couple of these kids got picked off by other schools in the process,
I realize you can't make kids commit but it is strange how 3 LA. 5 star kids (incl. quille) are committing to other school before any la. 5 star kids commit to LSU.

The irony of this shouldn't be overlooked. Not a bashing statement, but all these guys who are supposedly going to commit to LSU, but haven't publicly done so, could be hurting the team to which they will one day commit.

Actually the same thing happened to LSU back in the 80's/90's when we started to try expanding to a national recruiting base. Seems the same thing is occurring again. The only difference being that now we're actually landing some of the higher profile national recruits.
