This team could be great or meh. They really need Shi.

Also totally agree about Kaliyah! I’m still hoping she gets alternate.

Doesn’t help that has been rotating with the Florida staff this weekend, either.

I actually think Jocelyn made a strong case for herself. I will say she may be the same height as Simone but for some reason I keep seeing her as a little person (are we supposed to say that anymore or is it cancelled?) must be something about their leg to torso ratio.

You know Jenny is recruiting her. That’s what I don’t agree with the college coaches being there. Seems an unfair advantage.

I found it interesting she always seemed to rotate with the Florida gymnasts in the meets this year. Makes you go hmm…

But LSU just gotta close the deal when they get her on campus later this year.

It’s gonna be a small class but Helzy, Jayla hang, Presley Duke seem to be our top group we want the most

We are obviously recruiting much more than them but we seem to want at least 1-2 out of that tier.

Jenny has always had a jump on other colleges in recruiting the elites being a judge and having opportunities to be around the girls during competition. I am hoping Konnor and Kaliya will have some influence when Hezley visits the campus since they trained together at WOGA.

ETA: Kaliya's 3 tenth deduction on her last pass last night with both feet out of bounds added back would have placed her close to the alternate positions. Her improvement from Championships on beam and bars was nice to see.

Kaliya named as non-travelling alternate. Happy for her, she definitely deserves it.

I find it really weird that Kaliya and Skye train at the same gym but have the complete opposite strengths.

Kaliya was at a CA gym for awhile before WOGA.

She's Not Dunne Yet!

Livvy is back for a fifth year. I'm excited to see if she can break into lineups, especially beam.

I don’t hate her coming back - she offers good depth, especially on floor. Jay also showed with her usage last year that he wasn’t going to allow her out of the gym fame to affect his lineup choices. She also showed grace and maturity in being our number 7 on two events. In addition, she continues to put the spotlight on the team.

I would be interested to see if she can become part of a stable beam set - though I would prefer we try to get one of our younger athletes used to the spotlight on beam, which seems to be a perpetual struggle.

Just learned that the biggest name in college gymnastics especially as far as NIL goes also has a very close connection to/with Hezly: she and Livvy both grew up training at ENA Paramus. Between Konnor, Livvy and Kaliya, I’m hoping that’s enough to pull Hezly’s decision to and in favor of LSU

LSU in the NIL department is definitely on another level compared to the rest of the country in gymnastics in particularly so I dont worry about that but yes, with Helzy now about to be an olympian, her chance to profit and earn in the realm of NIL in college goes up another level and being at a program with those resources becomes a more enticing factor for her and her family certainly.

And coming off the natty, I'm sure Jay and the coaches will look to strike with the iron so hot right now. I never really worry anyways about our recruiting with Jay

Alabama's Luisa Blanco received the last spot in the All-Around Finals at the Olympics.

I found three of Aleah's routine's during qualifications in Paris. I could not find her bars routine.

She very well may have passed Luisa for the final AA spot without the fall. Still lots to be proud of!
