We don’t really have vault options although the 1.5 Brock did on the intrasquad was light years better than what we have all year in middle of lineup.

I’m gonna be working tomorrow so won’t be able to do a meet thread btw

Bars make me nervous. Wish we would at least wait until Saturday to let her do bars, but I'll trust Jay and Co. to know best.

she did a great routine in podium training and she is doing very limited numbers. This is not a new injury- it's just an irritated nerve that can be painful. They are just managing and making sure she feels good. So far so good- we will see how she feels this morning.

I see where Molly Brinkman is leaving LSU and entering the Portal. She stated that she has 4 years of competing left. I hope that she finds a home and does

I know this has already been discussed and it’s kind of old news now that we’re focusing on nationals but just my own personal take: I think it’s incredibly disrespectful and selfish of her to announce her transfer decision immediately following the team’s National berth. They seem a little bit distracted today and the media circus leading up to the meet seemed to be more interested in and focused on that vs the team that is getting ready for their biggest meet of the year. I understand she may have felt like she maybe wanted to go somewhere she could contribute more than she has this year at LSU but at least honor your teammates and team you’ve been with the last year ESPECIALLY with the message they chose for the theme of this season (Clear Path aka clearing the clutter in front of and around themselves leading to the path to the championship) and wait until their season is over before you announce your departure so they can focus on finishing the job FIRST before worrying about losing a teammate and a sister.

Pleased that LSU claimed the 2nd spot for nationals but they laid an egg on bars and beam. Hopefully they will rise to the challenge on Saturday with a much improved showing on these two events..

I just saw that LSU is starting on floor and ending on beam for the final. Was this by choice or determined according to Semis scores? LSU did have the lowest score. Floor is our best event. I pray the team is in beast mode tomorrow.

I believe by choice (if they followed the same format as every other post season meet then it’s based on NQS instead of by scores). I like this rotation order for us. We can start hot on our best event that no other team SHOULD outscore us on then keep that momentum rolling through the next 3 events

The only thing that makes me nervous is that scores seem to rise as the meet goes on. So hopefully scoring will stay consistent throughout and we get the scores we deserve on floor.

Let me remind you: the year we won, we started on floor and had the highest rotation score on that event of the night. As long as our girls do their normal routines on floor to start the meet, no other team comes close to how well we can execute a floor rotation and the judges will have no choice but to penalize everyone else.

Good season lsu will be back. They really don’t lose many significant routines. I’m sure they’ll supplement a body or two from the portal and get the others healthy

Can’t wait to have Zoe healthy, especially for beam and bars. I feel like they are going to go torched earth next year after this travesty!

2026 is not the class I think they were hoping for but Annalisa and Audree should be solid and provide depth and routines that can develop down the road.

2027 class is loaded and prob the deepest class Jay Clark has signed. Lunch, Ruck, Sparks, Sage will make a big time splash, I expect a few to defer to 2028 like Hezly tho

I’d expect this offseason the focus will be getting some key gymnasts healthy back into the staple of things, Mustari, Wenner, Konnor, Zoe miller etc. that would make a big difference for next season.

I’d expect lsu to look to add a transfer or two to supplement. I image getting another quality 10.0 vault would be high on the list. There are a few routines we prob could upgrade by next year to help give us better scoring potential

We’re getting everyone back so we don’t even need a huge class, but that’s coming from me just analyzing the lineup today seems like a huge 2027 class times much better to reload.

Did you see the technique Lou Ball picked up from Nebraska to help the Sooners stick vault? I saw it on youtube. Garrett's vault coaching could benefit in helping the team to get more sticks. This is what the judges obviously want to see. All the talent in the world will come up short without a stick on events.
IMO, all coaches need to address the difference in scoring of the afternoon session and the night session in post season. This is a travesty that the afternoon session always endures. LSU or any of the other teams that are "second" nationally wounds up with 1 to 2 tenths less from the start being in the first session. Coaches need to rethink ways to seek the NCAA's attention to improve the operation of post season and championships. Also, the Sooners get so much hype on winning 8 Championships. We all saw scoots, steps & etc. from the Sooners but the judging awards them the scores anyway.
