My question from the meet today: what are we doing about vault slot no. 3? Today’s vault rotation was incredible, but it’s clear that Victoria is a true outlier there in terms of finesse and precision. Do we have any other options? Anyone know if Blackson is getting more consistent? Is there any chance Chase makes it back (I assume no at this point)? Anyone else? Also, is Konnor gonna switch to the double? (The full was great today, but less ideal than the double, though she seems to be dialed in everywhere now, so maybe they don’t want to switch it)

Not sure if we can expect Chase back for post season at this point, especially since its been over a year since shes had consistent competition reps on vault. Form wise, I think Vic is the best option because of her block compared to Blackson and Ulrich, and she has the least amount of built in deductions on that vault in the air. As for Konnor, considering she's been dealing with a wrist injury for a few weeks now and was only able to train bar dismounts this past week, I think doing a full may be easier on her than trying to force a double because it requires less force and pressure on the table on her block

I look forward to seeing Zoe in lineups. Her beam work is looking good!

So a few things. Yes Fla is getting some over scores everywhere but they are really putting it together every event but Vt. That bars rotation is chefs kiss. 2-they lose a lot of talent and routines after this year so that’ll be interesting. 3-poor Anya pilgrim. I feel like she’s being shoved to the side for the “big” names when she was so great as an AAer her freshman year. Would love to see her transfer somewhere else and get more time.
Also Zoe not even exhibitioning on beam after that video so what’s the point.

Has anyone calculated the NQS for Florida and LSU for week 11? There is some chatter that FL will move to #2.

I don’t think they can. I think only bama and Fla could switch and Okla and lsu could switch. I think everyone stays the same though.

Florida with have to drop that 198.575 from the 13th, but will be counting their score vs LSU. They don’t have enough high scores to pass the Tigers.
Tigers keep closing the gap on OU though.

Was anyone at the meet on Friday? Who did the exhibitions for vault and how did they look? I was just curious since they didnt show them on the broadcast. I’m guessing that we’re going with Lexi, Konnor, Victoria, Amari, Kaliya, and Kailin for post season. I’m still so sad about Chase not being able to vault even on senior night.

According to the live scores from the meet, Emily was the only one who exhibitioned on Friday. I heard from the post meet press conference from Jay that she debuted her one and a half for the first time ever and scored a 9.8. I think there’s a chance that in one of the two day meets we may have Ulrich or Blackson vault instead of someone else in the lineup that you listed, but it’s highly unlikely. Outside of that, speaking on Chase not vaulting on senior night, in the pre-meet press conference interview, she stated that her goal for this season was just to be able to flip again, similarly to Alyona last year when she came back for sixth year. I don’t think she was necessarily planning or expecting to compete in her sixth year, but took the opportunity because she still didn’t know what her plans were after college once her fifth year was over and had the opportunity to be at the university for another year whether or not she competed. I think our expectations for a sixth year (should it ever happen again) need to be lowered since it’s incredibly rare for them to make any lineup, especially if it’s a first or second achilles tear with their bodies being as beat up as they are at that point in their career, unless they’ve been a top scorer in the all around throughout their careers (for example if Kiya had come back for a sixth year last year)

Lineups are posted on Virtius for today. No Mustari on bars and Blackson is vaulting instead of McClain. Not sure those are the best options for today but we’ll see if they end up changing anything after warmups

That vault lineup surprises me. I really thought they would go with Konnor. She’s been very dialed in lately and Courtney has been struggling. Hope it all works out!

Unless Konnor is not healthy it doesn't make sense to not use her instead of Courtney who hasn't hit her 1.5 all season. Maybe it will change by the start of the meet

It looks like they put Konnor back in the Vault lineup according to the Virtius Scoreboard listing.

Oh good! That really gives us our best chance imo. There were a few girls in the afternoon session that stuck their yurchenko fulls and were given 9.9s so at least we know the judges will put up 9.9s for the full. Who knows, maybe Jay could’ve seen that and decided to put Konnor in again.

Konnor and Amari were not dialed in last night. Konnor caught her "church release" on bars too close with bent arms. That was a major deduction. Her vault was good in the air but too big of a hop back. Amari was off on all of her events. Let's hope LSU will have all the kinks worked out for Regionals.
Florida has two events that can propel them over everyone (bars and beam). LSU is usually very competitive on floor and vault. We need those back three on vault to hit as they did several weeks ago. I don't know why some of the floor scores weren't higher than 9.90.The scoring was off whether biased or just being harsh.

Well here’s my .02, even though yall didn’t ask lol.
I think we can win a national championship but everyone has to hit and stick landings. I’m not sure if this will actually happen when it needs to (final 4)
If we don’t win, I would like to see Jenny finally get hers. They are by far the best team on bars and beam with form and difficulty (Okla). Also they lose 4 major girls after this year so no threat next year imo.
I really wish Jay would have used Mustari and Ballou more on bars and beam. I love Lexie, Kylie, and Ashley but would have liked to see other options throughout the season.
