Oh dear, we are becoming the NCAA football version of Kentucky basketball.

Didn't Jamarkus McFarland and Jackson Jeffcoat do the same thing as Clowney did to LSU?

Not really, but for every Jernigan/Edwards/Nkemdiche that went elsewhere, there's a Bower, Montgomery, Ego, Deas, Corley, etc. that we pulled in the 11th hour.

McFarland committed to.his school.well before signing day. Clooney never visited LSU I believe, we weren't even in it down the stretch.

Haley and LSU have been on this kid for a long time. This is not like Damian Prince, we have been recruiting Carter for a long arse time.

No doubt about it, Carter comes to LSU, it will be the best signing of the year. Sorry Buga Nation but this would be a great foundation for years to come (Stealing the #1 recruit from GA)

While I agree that we NEED big guys like this, you can't tell me that LF running up the middle of our line in a tide uniform would not be rough to overcome... No thank you...

I couldn't say that it would be better to have anyone than LF. He gave our school such a boost on 1/2 when WE ALL NEEDED IT. For that alone, LF will always be my hero.

LF will be a much better player than Carter in the SEC.

Dude is going to UGA.

Went to the GA game this year and could not have been less impressed. Any recruit that is impressed by that game day atmosphere has never been anywhere. I have been to every stadium in the SEC and GA is easily in the bottom 4 for game day experience. It was very disappointing. Every time I make a road trip it just imbeds further that their is no place on earth like Tiger Stadium.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Carter would be the second most important recruit for us there is. With our 4-3 defense,we need a pass rusher. Our ends now are just space eaters. We seem to be gathering personnel for a 3-4 defense. Obviously unintentionally, I hope he understands playing in a 4-3 fits him the best. He would be under utilized in a 3-4.

You serious, Clark?

Rasco and Herron are wide, but Maclin (a converted LB), Allen and Hunter average about 245 at 6'5" or taller - hardly space eaters - if anything, we've got long, rangy, athletic ends and may lack a little size in the weakside ends - especially as I believe Herron may move inside as a 3-technique tackle.

Carter would fit right in line with what we've done with Mingo and Hunter/Allen.

I agree that we need a beast DE to constantly get pressure but our current guys are by no means space eaters.
