Just tell him that but dont actually do it if you dont want to. Its very easy to lie to these kids and just tell them what they want to hear. Get em to campus and do with them what you want. Then they most likely transfer out if they dont end up liking it

Well then the HC will get a reputation of BS-ing recruits. Don't have to lie, make a promise you can reasonably keep, say we can explore possibly adding some limited packages for him, and actually do it. Doesn't mean this is a case where the guy is going to get 10-15 carries a game.
All you have to do is refer to the average NFL salaries by position. I think most would choose LB over RB if they can do both at a professional level, and he'll figure that out on his own.

That wasn't a reply about him committing to A&M, it was a reply to why he didn't call Jimbo and tell him he was committing. He was basically trying to say he committed to A&M publicly and Jimbo is the coach of A&M so he obviously knew he committed. What is the need to inform Jimbo personally unless Jimbo is the reason you're going? We constantly complain about kids committing to coaches then hopping in the portal when the coach leaves, now we're complaining because a kid couldn't give two turds who his coach is as long as the university itself is a match for what he is looking for.
