Would love to know what 'really' happened at aTm for the sudden and swift change of direction here.

Is perkins a starter his freshmen year? Significant playing time? I know his is ranked high but some are more ready early than others and I don't follow recruiting as closely as yall.

I'm excited for Perkins but man, his Polynesian bowl interview was really tough to watch

I've heard people say he's a potential starter, but definitely a serious playing time/early rotational player. But I haven't really looked into him too much, never thought we had a chance with them bags running around.

I don’t believe Perkins is a day one starter and not sure exactly how much he would contribute year one (1).

Per his 247 profile the kid only weighs 215 pounds - not going to get much run playing linebacker and that weight in the SEC

215 is plenty big for OLB. He could also easily gain another 10 before the season starts

Years ago Ernie Sims was the number one linebacker and No.1 player at 205 lbs. I believe he played LB in the NFL at 220-225. So Perkins is plenty big enough.

Darius Leonard was All-Pro at 221 lbs.

I know we have a need at LB (and damn near everywhere else) but .....

Are we sure we want this guy? I mean... based on our recent issues with players like this... ?

I know he is rough around the edges but he may be smarter than we thought. If you are a 5 star and your dream school is LSU why not milk them to the end for NIL money knowing they will hold a spot?

I wonder if LSU is telling him he'll get to play runningback like florida and a&m are. Supposedly its a deal breaker for him

All i heard in that interview is him saying florida has a package for him at wildcat.

All the schools are going to tell him that bs.

This isn't the 90s and early 2000s where you play both sides anymore. If this kid wants to make it to pros he'll have to decide. I highly doubt we are telling him you canp play Rb here. I also think Napier and aTm are lying about him playing wildcat there.
