He quit the Mandeville baseball team his sophomore year after being mad he wasn’t being given enough playing time. When he committed to ole Miss he wasn’t even on Mandeville’s roster.
They welcomed him back his junior season, hopefully he’s more of a team player

Kid is 6'1" 180 lbs has a .332 BA and pitches fastball in the low to mid 90s. Potential relief pitcher with possible mobility to weekday starter.

His dad has run usssa travel baseball in metro New Orleans for years and has a lot of contacts and was still playing showcase ball so he was still being seen after he quit mandeville

Benoit is no non-sense. I would imagine the lesson was learned, and both came to terms with what was best. I think Parker batted leadoff last year and was the ace. They have a good coach, good team, and I expect a jump next year from Parker and some of their other kids.

What you do on the travel ball circuit actually matters a lot more than high school ball. Im not a fan of it but its happening more and more for kids to not play HS ball and just play tournament ball.

I'll always support LSU bringing in Louisiana boys especially in this portal era where loyalty is non-existent. There's a better chance having them stay to develop vs immediately leaving. However, based on history, some of these 2027 signees from Louisiana won't make it at LSU. I've watched all of them play growing up through travel ball and now high school ball. All of them have flaws as does every 18 year old entering college. Key is how quickly can you make the adjustments / improvements to compete at SEC level play. It's a huge jump that some talented players can't overcome, but lets cheer them on and hope they all turn into future ballers for the Tigers. Congrats to Greyson and suck it Ole Miss !!

i know.
i may have come off too brash but parker has had a lot of ups and downs. he throws hard but he's going to take some time i think.
