The top 5 are all the same in terms of talent to win championships. Coaching and development to follow.

not this year. This year there is a clear cut top 3 (Bama, Georgia , Clemson), then a gap down to LSU at 4, and then another gap down to 6-8, then another gap down to a whole crowded field of teams. So there are a number of different tiers.

Obviously those point systems don't mean shite if burch only adds 7 points. If we add burch and m Jackson I don't care what any service says, we got the best class in the nation.

the LSU job just got him a $4mil 6/7 year contract at some power 5 school watch and see

I doubt he ever sees that opportunity again. He was downright nasty as the head coach. He could not handle the pressure.

Not if we land Burch.

We just had the best college offense and maybe team in history with a coach no one wanted, a QB no one wanted, a RB no one wanted, a center no one wanted, a 3* TE, and a WR no one wanted. I trust these coaches.

Bama, Georgia, Clemson..

Hmm.. what do these teams have in common?

They all got their arse beat by LSU.

I think the difference in the top 5 classes is really splitting hairs. I'm pretty happy with this class and Burch would be the icing on the cake.

As long as you are in the top 5 you have a great recruiting class.

There is a path to #1 on the calculator, although not likely. Drop Lorando, CamRon, add Burch, McKinnley Jackson, and Van Pran. Puts us over Bama.

Well we’d be lucky to get one of those

But number wise you’re correct

Could really use an elite pass rusher.

Webb and Ojulari are absolute stud pass rushers. I'll be interested to see how they translate to a 4-3. I'm sure Moffitt will fill out their frames and they've got the skills and quickness to make for all-americans as weak side ends if we want them there.

I feel like Ojulari will end up on the line and Webb at OLB, but that's for the coaches to decide of course. Maybe get Webb to 240 and with his speed, he will be one of the best OLBs to come through LSU.

Burch would be one hell of a strong side end tho.

I thought the entire DL was the most pressing need for LSU in this class and our haul looks like it could be the best in LSU history (up there with 2001). Especially now that we're probably going to run a 4-3, DL is even more of a need. Kudos to O for identifying and addressing needs. Clearly one of his strongest characteristics.

Van Pran is the toughest pull. The other 2 are at least definate maybes. Wouldn't it be awesome though to snatch #1 right out from under Bama lol?

Also, Georgia looks like they will finish #1. Any time it's not Bama is a WIN!!!

And we all know georgia doesn't know how to use their talent, so them being number 1 doesn't really matter

McGlothern was rated as a 5* and #34 overall (Composite) by 247...only 12 months ago. He's easily a Top 100 player yet 247 dropped him below 600 since Jan/19. His performance in the All Star game validated his original ranking AND the sham that is 247.

Flott was at 610. Is Flott not better than 610? The rankings are losing a little credibility.

He’s not ranked in the 600’s. According to 247 he’s ranked 278 and 125 on rivals
