FWIW I work with someone heavily involved with DHS athletics and asked about Christian Williams purple gloves he supposedly wore this season. He said he thought they were DHS gloves and not LSU, but also said he's heard Christian's interest in LSU is legit. Said he was told Christian wants to play early and that he thinks he could probably get on the field and contribute faster at LSU.

May be nothing to it, but it would be fantastic to flip a current Bama commit thats from Alabama.

I think it would be OK to take Rodney to get his elite brother. There are guys every year who don't contribute much, besides, maybe Rodney will surprise.

This is untrue. Denzel was at Ole Miss well before Robert was even a major recruit. That was merely a lucky situation for Ole Miss.
Lol no. Denzel is two years older than Robert. Robert Nkemdiche was a huge recruit when he was a sophomore in highschool af Grayson. He was dominant at a dominant HS in Georgia.

Taking Denzel was a calculated move by Hugh Freeze.

I thought the rules were recently changed such that a school could no longer sign more than 25. If true, Alabama can can only get 1 more if they are sitting at 24.
If you undersign the previous year then you can back count the scholarship if the kids sign in the early period.

Actually not the same, his brother was already at Ole Piss prior to Robert's senior year in high school.
So was Ed Oliver’s brother at Houston. College coaches recruit 2-3 years in advance. Robert Nkemdiche was a major recruit when he was very young.

He did end up becoming a good LBer but he was brought on for his younger brother.

Robert was dominating at camps and became a major recruit very young. Similar to Leonard Fournette, Dylan Moses, Jadeveon Clowney, Julio Jones etc.

Robert was starting at Grayson HS which is a known GA power.

FWIW-
Rodney is 6’2” 260 3* lineman
Denzel was 5’10” 200 3* Safety

Again- I think the coaches are making the right move.

Denzel could play too.

The situations aren’t the same.

This I believe to be 100% true. I also believe that Nick is in no position to be giving a scholarship to an out of state recruit not capable of contributing to Bama in order to secure anyone in the country. I think that could be the reason that the Amite brothers have not committed to anyone yet. I know that they offered IS and we have offered both but I think IS is probably waiting Saban out to see if his mind sways and when it doesn't (bc he can't do that for a LA kid) we will end up getting both. It's much more believable and acceptable for us to give a scholly to an instate kid who maybe is not going to play because he is an instate kid and that is the reason you show loyalty in state. It goes both ways. I am more optimistic we get IS than ever now. Regardless of who cuts hair in freakin Amite, LA.

Yep. An Orgeron poster commented in the last couple of weeks that they're hearing KT to Bama as well.

It's utterly ridiculous.

Not in the loop/know enough. Rodney would never see the field at Bama, so why is that an option?

SEC school took older 3* brother so that they could land younger 5* brother.

Les did the same thing with the Teuhamas.

Denzel was an ok player at Grayson but he never gets the offer to Ole Miss if Roberts not his brother.

I’m hearing Bama can take 47 this class

Well, that's only because Saban successfully petitioned the NCAA to allow Bama to field 15 guys on both sides of the ball. It's only fair they get to sign more guys. Player safety concerns, you know.
