Based on his wkik bio, looks like he has 9 years in RSA.

As Tier 1 he could retire at 60 years old with 10 years. You basically get 2% of you salary for each year of service, and its based on the avg of the 3 highest years out of your last 10 years. If you leave before 10 years you have to cash out and you lose the employer match, so its a pretty big deal with a high paying salary. If the new Auburn coach doesn't retain him I would think Saban or another state school would find a place for him in 2021, especially since he already has his top 3 paying years the past 3 years. Technically he could be on the shadow staff at UA for $30K and it would not affect his final retirement salary.
Just my opinion but I would doubt the NCAA will be granting waivers for immediate eligibility because of COVID. It would open up the floodgates, could gut PAC12 and Big10 rosters and end up being the Wild West.

In terms of actual players we are right there with them. We have several OL (Evans, Hines, Rosenthal) that wont show in those numbers since they came in as DL but that's 2 starters and the heir apparent at center next year.
Clyde's entire performance against Bama. If I had to pick one moment it was watching him drag half of the Bama defense for a 1st down with 1:13 left on the clock to ice the game. I don't know that I have ever seen a player impose their will on that many defenders like that.
Quick question: Munoz was on the sideline all year and worked directly with O a lot. I was under the impression that an analyst/shadow staff wasn't allowed to coach on the field...am I wrong?
Mingo. Having him and Chaisson coming around on opposite corners would change the whole dynamic of the pass rush and eliminate the need to blitz to get pressure.

Those are amazing shots of Landry. Weird thing is that the play I most remember him for was laying out Onterio McCaleb on a kickoff against Auburn his freshman year. He was an absolute demon on ST his freshman year.
Whichever one of them has the ball in the open field at that moment...
Looking at NFL stats there are 11 OTs from Louisiana in the NFL from 2014-2018, 2 of which played at LSU. 2 played at Bama and Greg Robinson played at Auburn, but there are a lot of tackles from Louisiana that played for LA Tech, USM, Kansas State, etc. and made NFL rosters.

There's obviously some talent there but our coaching staffs over the years have not been able to project players well enough and find the "diamonds in the rough". They probably also slow played some of them during recruiting waiting on bigger fish we didn't land. Either way we need to get better finding these guys because they are out there.

Any of them would be nice, but Byron Young is my first choice for a few reasons.

1st he's a hell of a player;
2nd he's a Bama commit and we need the narrative and perception that we beat Bama head to head, will only help us down the road with other recruits;
3rd there is a lot of turmoil at Bama right now with the coaching staff and it can only helps our chances;
4th he apparently grew up an LSU fan and might be easier to convince than the others.
Regardless of any circumstances with other schools commits or class sizes, if O is able to lock down all four of the 5 star recruits from the State this year he deserves a hell of a lot of credit for getting it done.

Just noticed this, but the entire team is wearing their purple jerseys except Sopsher and Lee, they are the only ones I can see in the photos in white jerseys. Probably doesn't mean anything at all, but its odd its just those 2 who also happen to be the biggest recruits on the team.
Absolutely. Recruiting is all about perception of what a program is doing and where its going. If we can flip 2 big Bama commits and get Pickens that fills needs and pick up 2 major prospects from the state of Alabama. That could almost have more positive perception in recruiting going forward than just signing Sopsher at this point.

We don't ever want to miss on a 5 star player from LA, but we signed 3 of the 4 from this class already so from the outside things look great right now anyway.
Based on the guess they compare pretty closely as players, I would hope that if Christian Williams wants a spot and its down to him and Hampton they would take the bird in the hand and not turn someone like Williams away. That is assuming all goes well with the rest of the players we are recruiting and it comes down to them head to head.
Has anybody know anything about Justin Thomas either way? He redshirted last year and the LSU site shows him with 4 tackles and 0.5 sacks this year, and having played in 4 games including yesterday but I'll be damned if I saw him and I was trying to keep up with the DL. Steve Levy even made the comment yesterday that the DL was so depleted that they had Jakori Savage ready to play DL if needed.

Who is our Tennessee recruiter? Seems like there are a lot of Tennessee kids on that list at several positions.
I would respond with SEC Championship and played for the national title in 2011 and went 6-2 against Arkansas from 2011-2018.
If so it is almost entirely due to Tommy Robinson, he's been in the area a lot the last 2 years and is from Alabama himself. I've personally seen him in Baldwin County twice in the last year checking out Daphne and Spanish Fort games. I only say that because he's been a bit of a punching bag on this site this year with guys complaining about his recruiting.
VolTiger13- is Flott locked into this class regardless with all of the possibilities we still have at DB? I watched a couple of Saraland games this year and he didn't jump off the screen at me as a game changer.
