Yeah Fountain had some good games. I would welcome him back, considering our situation.

Wade really wanted him for last year's team. He went to Kentucky and seemingly never fit in. Still, he's a guy with a ton of SEC experience and some track record of good success in the league. Perhaps a change of scenery at a school with a FAR less rabid fanbase and much lower expectations would do him good.

Do we even remotely have a shot at love?
I would love it though
He could be a game changer

Another future NBA player, Kal'el Ware entering the portal. Top 10 player in 2022 class at 7', 210. Want!
I think we can find him more than 15.8 minutes...
Played at Oregon but from Arkansas.

At Oregon, Ware played just 15.8 minutes a game but he made efficient use of his time on the floor, posting 16.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.3 blocks and 1.3 assists per 40 minutes.

If you were wondering why we didn't play Phillips as much until the end of the year, here's your sign. Even top hs freshman big men get limited minutes. He would be considered "elite" out of high school, being the 3rd ranked C in the country.

quote:Oh, I understand that a lot. This kid would probably get 25 min per game minimum if he returned to Oregon. But getting 16.8 ppg on only 15.8 mpg? We could use that next year. He could even play with Phillips if he has any defensive issues.

Wheeler is pretty much a better version of what i hoped Hill would be. Go get him.

Oregon had two older 5 stars at his position, N'Faly Dante and Nathan Bittle. The bag Oregon gave Ware might've hurt him in the long run.

How many times can kids transfer with no penalty? Is Wheeler a grad transfer?

Looks like we should have one come to us soon. As another poster posted in the rant he was hearing Jordan Wright was coming home, he is now officially in the portal. Guard from Vandy.

That’s per 40 minutes. His PPG was around 6, I was just pointing out how slow big men develop from hs to college.

And ftr, I wouldn't trade Phillips for any center in the portal right now. If he is a solid return I would involve him in any decision to take a new center. He really impressed me with his footwork on defense late in the season and soft touch.
