William Patrick - Game Log

Jack Ruckert - Game Log

Patrick played 7 games, Ruckert 14. Not a lot to take from either. The league they were in isn't especially strong, only a couple teams with high level players. And I don't think they played in any of those games. Most of the games they played were against independent summer teams or teams from another league in NorCal that is a lot of local JUCO and D2 or lower guys.

I'm hoping Ruckert ends up in the Northwoods League or something for another 20 games or so. He needs reps.

Not a lot to take from their summer ball at all so far...both desperately needed reps.

Yes it is, and mainly because of the money manipulating they can do with the draft slots.

Both swiped some bags, which is nice to see. Ruckert's K/BB ratio was solid and he hit a dinger.

We just do not steal enough under Jay for it to make a difference.

MLB Draft tracker has been updated. You can't sort by state yet, but there are 75 pages of players to comb through and you can search by school to filter.

One interesting change from previous years is that they still list the players who have withdrawn, but with a note indicating their withdrawal. They used to just not list them.

ETA: While I don't think it affects anything, Braxton Beaty is not listed as withdrawn. Milam, Kurland, and Davis are.

ETAA: Davis is listed as Nathaneal Davis-Cleary.

Of the 50/50 guys who do you think gets through the draft if you had to guess Wild?

Lol you got downvoted.

Sides is highly ranked but he wants to get to school .

Roberson back injury his senior year hopefully gets him campus.

We already know Davis.

I believe Nawrocki wants to go pro but I think there is a chance. LSU has made a priority.

I think Stringer makes to campus. He will benefit from some time on campus.

Santarelli is a long shot but I know Jay wants to build power from HS class.

Murphy could blow up on campus but MLB realizes his potential as well

My best guess is Sides, Stringer, Davis and Roberson

This is reasonable.

I'm not confident on anyone beyond that. The more I look at the draft board, the less I think the talent at the top will command full slot amounts. That can mean a lot of money moves down the board and more guys get what they're asking for.

ETA: It's why getting guys to actually take their name out of the draft is so important. By the time the day comes, MLB teams can find money it didn't seem like they had.

Good list. So you expect Brady and Evans to make it as well?

Would hope to get something from the left side in '27 from the combination of Evans, Beaty, and Cupit.

I know you said just a guess but what are you basing that off of?

Evans is moving up the board. Guys moving down can get a little disappointed and a chip on their shoulder. Guys moving up might be a little excited that they are making more money than they thought.

MLB Pipeline Rankings

45 Logan Schmidt
56 Jensen Kirschkorn
100 Cooper Sides
102 Will Adams
108 Anthony Murphy
110 Kolby Springer
118 Malachi Washington
129 Dominic Santarelli
153 Lucas Nawrocki
180 Coleton Brady
195 Spencer Evans

For reference here is how last years draft broke down as fast as who signed out of the MLB Pipeline ranked HS prospects

Top 50 18 of 20 Signed
51-100 17 of 27
101-150 5 of 18
151-200 7 of 20
201-250 7 of 23

54 of the 96 HS drafted and signed in 2026 were in the top 250 and that’s all but 3-4 of the HS players in the first 8 rounds

Highest player to go to college: #44 Jack Baer.

I love how much of this class is in the 100-250 ranking range.

Hoping we can get a few here. None of them are completely outside the realm of reason and i’m wondering if we’re going to threw a ton of NIL at a pitcher.

Jay Johnson will be on Tiger Rag radio tonight 6 until 8
Whether you hate Guilbeau or not, it will still give some insight into portal, recruiting and draft

It's on 107.3 in Baton Rouge and you can get it at their website link as well
Sounds like Jay will be on at around 6 or so
Not sure how long he will be on and I'm sure Jay will be monitoring his phone during the interview in case he has to take a call
