Most players at juco now are there for a reason

Yeah, so he's still pretty raw. Great JUCO candidate. The amount of games they play, and especially the competition in that part of the country is awesome for development.

Does the ruling for Juco that the Vandy qb got also extend to baseball? Sorry if I missed it.

na its settled, ncaa released statement
NCCAJC years do not count towards NCAA eligibility.
essentially when it comes to baseball....this will almost completely stop HS recruiting unless you are a top 100 prospect and can play right away.
the big boys are going to set up the Jucos in state and have them do the same programming when it comes to S&C, pitching and hitting and start placing HS athletes there for 2 years...let them add weight and lots of strength and see how they can handle the stress and competition and then take them after and still have 4 years to play.

it was initially just an injunction but now NCAA has released statement after more lawsuits were filed and said that juco years no longer count for those currently enrolled and going forward.

No they haven't. They've released a statement that guys could get one additional year while the appeal is happening. It's not settled.

I'm as sure as Baseball America, ESPN (Kiley McDaniel), and Sportico (a sports business site). All of those have a vested interest in being current on the case and accurate in the interpretations.

In baseball JUCO has always had talented players because it was the second quickest path to the pros other than out of high school.

Reading an article on D1 this morning and it looks like the coaches agreed on a proposal at the ABCA convention for a 38 player roster limit for fall practice with it having to be trimmed down to 34 by December 1.
